Like I said before - plenty...and many sections are completely new and strange - I have not seen any such strings before. I think they starting to prepare for 14.x rls which will be something very new in many aspects...just guessing. As for D-tool...the bummer is that the tool itself trying to change some entries (while setting up custom resolutions) and sections which doesn't exist anymore in 13.8 ...but maybe I'm very wrong on that? I hope, I am...

    EDIT:
I meant that I am maybe hopefully wrong on the fact that the creator of D-tool must re-write the whole tool in order to custom resolutions able to work with a new Catalyst's and such...

This or find a person who could manage to update the old tool.
Or even make a petition to get an answer from amd.

Hey i use CRU Custom Resolution Utility!

But i have a problem! I have an Mobility ATI RADEON 5850 1Gb
I "can" go higher than 2560x1600 But when
i do it whit 2880x1620 i can see some weird noisy lines around icons and window
Can that be something whit BLANKING or Back Porch
here is a screen whit the settings i use whit 2560x1600 and it works fine!
and also a info link about my monitor!
I just want to get 2880x1620 with no noisy lines like around icons and so on!
Here is a Manual PDF for my monitor! so you maybe can help me out easier!

CRU is crap for this purpose, and isn't a downsampling tool according to the maker of it. Looks like no one will be able to fix this anytime soon. I still wonder why the creator(s) of Radeon Pro haven't yet implemented a list of IQ options, like nvidia inspector has. A third party feature like that would solve most, if not all of these issues. I'd gladly donate or pay for something like that to be done.

Well it doesn't necessarily have to be monitor downsampling. Nvidia Inspector, for example, has several options such as driver based SGSSAA, among several other bits and options to force SGSSAA in a vast amount of games.

It would be incredible to have that amount of configurability in Radeon Pro. I'd donate a generous amount for something like that.

<< I'm offering 120 US $ in donation through Paypal to someone who can re-write the downsampling tool to work with the newer drivers!! >>

    Thanks for your help!

If I reach the equivalent of the price of a GeForce Titan in donation to have the downsampling working on AMD with recent drivers... I'm gonna buy the GF Titan instead

For me it was all over...I like AMD very much, but I just really in need for downsampling possibility - so, I took brand new MSI GTX660 from my brother's work and gave him mine old 7850...problem solved.

Many thanks for your companionship in this thread and ATI Drivers Section as well...I will be miss all of you  and for the most, the japamd and Derko1 (the)dudes :D Till we meet again...when I get for myself another ATI card xd ...or in different sections of this great forum :)

Man! I wish I could do the same, but for me it is very hard to do since mine are water cooled. It'd be very expensive to do. Plus I'd have to get rid of mine first to plop down over $1k to replace them.

Oh well... that's why I will just wait a while, I figure that there's not really much I can do at the moment. When I want to upgrade, I'll just go with Nvidia if there's no solution to DS with AMD.

Yes it is that big a deal to me. :bang:

Doesn't that mean that you are stuck to 49hz? So games using vsync would be running at 49fps?
