Looking forward to this as im a fan of all HL games but its been so long that if a new HL game never came out then i wouldnt really care tbh.
What's left to do in Portal as a stand alone game? Chell leaves Aperture, Wheatley is on a Star Trek, and GlaDOS has the two robots to test with.
Lmao Love Half-Life, only games i go back to every now and again to go through, can't beat em, and with the FakeFactory mod, they are even more amazing, im actually going through it all again now with the latest v12 on, and **** me its astonishing, im on Highway 17 at the minute, and what hes done to it, jesus, its looks bloody incredible, massive difference from v10 (which is what i had on before).

I'm waiting for CM 2013 to at least reach beta (but probably will wait for full release) before giving my first every run through HL + episodes. Can't wait.
CM is gorgeous. Only for the environments though, the mad character models are way too Hollywood and out of place.
now why did valve do what they did? they should change it back. it making alot mess for modders. some modds are not getting fixed. there no way to knock it back to the older format? got to use rocket science and edit gameinfo.txt to get the games to work and still problem with things missing from the mods.
Yes it can be a mess every update. zombiemod for css has been broken several times after a update. however they are adding more and more stuff in the source engine which is a good thing imo. imho other delevopers should give the same FREE support valve has done over the years. they Rock!
just an idea for trying to run mods. to use an older half life install, and not update it. just might have to change launch commands to start the mods. but at lest it would have the original files instead of the vpk files. but also might involve hack files, but if you own the game anyway...... I was thinking about posting this in the steam forums, but afraid might get banned. just thinking about ways to get around bugs that are happening with the steampipe update, and that some mod makers made comments saying they dont have time to update the mod at anytime soon. and using a modified gameinfo.txt makes the game run but has bugs. edit: I had an orange box disc and extracted the files and used steam emulation dlls and started my mods up and they work without no problems. I decided to use the steam emulations so steam wouldnt try and mess with the files. wish I could tell people on steam forums this but... might get banned.
