7850 is only running at 2.5Gb/s in a 5.0Gb/s slot

    This is very odd. Check this out:

    Maximum Link Speed: 5.0 Gb/s
    Current Link Speed: 2.5 Gb/s

    The card is a 3.0 card in a 2.0 slot, and yet it's running at 1.0 speed. Why?

    can you post some screenshots? How are you monitoring your link speed? also post back with some benchmark results. And make sure your spec is up to date!

    It's a power saving feature.

    Nevermind, it's a feature. My motherboard drops the link speed and link type when the GPU is in 2D clock mode.

    I haven't built a computer in years, so I wasn't aware that they did this now.
