it makes the forums untidy and that the mods are not doing their job , other forums keep new driver releases to 1 thread and it makes the forum more tidy that was . I give up with trying to help keep the forums tidy if any tom dick or harry can post anything they want

First, you are not the forum police.

    Second it's a new driver.

Third it does not matter WHO posts it, as long as it is a NEW and DIFFERENT driver.

@OP, Pay no heed to the remarks of lesser minds! Nay-sayers will say nay! Anywho, thanks a ton for the update... Driver works flawlessly thus far. :)

Can't we all just get along? (Rodney King, circa 1991)

I absolutely love this idea. Getting along in a forum that is meant to help people!

Am about to try this driver out on my 7970's. I know it's mobile but why not, done it before.

Installed this driver my HD7470M Is displayed as HD6400 series

Hello everyone a few months ago I bought an Asus laptop with an Amd HD7470M card, this is the first time I bought a laptop with an Amd card, I choose always a PC or laptop with a nividia card , without problems.

I installed this,AMD Catalyst 13.5 beta 3 Mobility Driver without any problems.
But the device manager displays now my HD7470M as HD6400 series also in CCC what can I do to display it as HD7470M or HD7000 series,
    without editing the registry.

I checked the win 8 X64.inf file and there is an entry what displays HD7000series
with the same Card ID number as older drivers, I tried other drivers but no go.
The AMD 13.4 beta7 Driver displays the correct card.

Am I doing something wrong, or is it a bug in the latest drivers.
Or is it a legacy card ?

I tried also to install the drivers with driver signing off.

    I running Windows 8 X64 Pro. chipset and quad core i3 rev3 Intel .

Help would be very appreciated .

I get a slight 3dmark increase, but nothing noticed elsewhere in games etc.

I think it's a bug in the drivers INF, which makes it think it's something it's not. If your performance is the same or better, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

If it's performing worse, try getting a modded INF and installing the driver with it. Who knows it might work.

If all else fails, I'd just go back to the latest mobility WHQL.

    Re:

    Hello GhostXL,

    Thanks for your reply .
After reading your reply,I first run 3dmark on the beta 7 drivers and installed back the 13.5 beta 3 Mobility Driver.
The performance in 3dmark with this driver is increased a few points compared with the older beta 7 diver, crysis 3 runs significant smoother also far cry 3. Playing movies and, blu-ray disks I see no difference but that was never an issue with older drivers , so now I stay with the 13.5 beta 3 Mobility Driver, and hope the next driver displays the correct card.

    Thanks mate .

Don't care about the bitter whining (and now banned) complainers. Most of us are thankful that people like you keep posting new drivers.

I have it working on my switchable laptop on top of Leshcat driver. So far working very nice. Thank you!

Using Leshcat 2875 Intel driver for those that understand switchable.
