OK, thanks for that. I'm really thinking I will go ahead and get it at this point. :)

Finally! Titan SLI and LSI 9265-8i working!!!

Finally, I can run my new titans sli with the lsi 9265-8i and the creative x-fi (the creative didn't bother anyway). Running benchs since yesterday. All at stock for having reference numbers, but so far I have beat some of my old scores using gtx 680 soc in sli.

Yeah, I was thinking to buying a 500 board for getting it working. They really mess up with all new bios update for making Windows 8 compatible with uefi and such. I still using Windows 7 and it is way better than 8. Anyway, now how to wait for my new Dell 30" to arrive next week, just the perfect timing for using this cards.

I assume 70-75 °C is a safe temperature for this card under long periods of gaming? Cause that's what my temp usually is (in demanding games)

    Yeah that's totally fine.

I have my temperature target set to 90C and one of my cards gets up to 85C in Heaven 4.0.

How do you keep it so low? :)

Mine is normally running 76-80C with ~70% fan speed

I have MSI afterburner dynamically set the fan speed according to temp. If the temp is 75, the fan speed is also 75.

How do you think a U3014 will compare? worse, better, similar? I'm going to upgrade my 2407 with the new 3014. Also, that is the only decent monitor in my country.

I'm really psyched about it. I have a really nice plasma and the picture quality is great, but my Titans are kinda wasted @1080p.

Really curious to see what 1600p is like...

Does anybody experience 'throttling' in Crysis3? It's the only game where I see this.

    Typical scenario:

    gpu: 1097mhz
    vcore: 1150ma
    temp: 79C
    fan: ~70%
    TDP: < 106%

Core speed will drop down a step after a while of gaming. If I increase the voltage and offset, initially I will get an increase but quite quickly it will drop back down to where it was before I adjusted.

Considering you're both at the power and temp throttle points, ie 106% and ~80C, normal operation would be for the GPU to throttle. Increasing the voltage results in increase the power draw at the same clocks which is limited to 106%.

I'm definitely less than (<) 106% TDP, normally not much more than 100%. I didn't mention but my temp target is set at 94C so that shouldn't be causing it either

What I find really interesting is that if it is throttling due to power use, it implies that nobody can be running higher than 1100mhz in Crysis3 because they would also be hitting the TDP limit! The ASIC on my card is 78% and so my gpu should be more efficient than most. Also, I'm not over-volting.

What gpu speed does yours maintain in Crysis3?

Also, the operating conditions are seemingly exactly the same as FarCry3 or any other gpu taxing game but I've only ever noticed the downclock on Crysis3.

Yes, the same weird issue, if we could call it "issue".

No matter what I´ve tried, Crysis 3: ever, ever, and ever, thottling down. I have flashed the card for let it cosume as much power as it need. But, I can see when I´ve increased power limit that throttles. Throttles everywhere in that game. Power never exceed 95% (with custom bios).

I think the card thottles not only with power usage and temp, but also with fan SPEED. As son as it goes to 70% then throttles down. Inclusive with low temps.

Second tried: change vcore. Set P00 1.16 vcore permanent in 3D mode, increased power target up to 295 W, and open Crysis 3.

Now I can see that voltage is 1.16 everytime. BUT, the clocks goes down, even if the temp and fan are under control. The more vcore you put on the card, the less clocks you see.

I think it´s a driver´s problem. Not the throttling, not the core, if not the FAN.
