Whats your thought on official HD texture pack released by bethesda? This fanbase mod is less pc demanding or official hd pack is better?

At 1GB it's pretty small and hardly affected vram (700MB).

The one I downloaded for FNV was 4GB and added about 1.2GB to my vram load.

    I did this:bang:

I changed it to 5 and game crashed when loading. changed it back to 7 and it loaded. but only 1 time. after that it stopped loading.

also I havent figured out what is causing the stutter or pauses in the game in certain spots.

vram according to after burner isnt full. but everytime it does the stuttering or the pauses. gpu usage drops for a split second.

Load an earlier save, from that load the save that crashed before, alt-tab the game, open skyrim.ini change uGrids to 5 save, alt-tab back to game save and restard. Worked for me when i had this problem.
Sorry for my english, its not my native language.

This is the procedure I used:
1: Start the game with the current ugrids value..
2: Load the save game that you'd like to revert/change back.
3: Once the game is loaded, ALT+TAB or minimize the game.
4: Navigate to your Skyrim.ini file located typically in the documents/my games/skyrim/
5: Input the Ugrids value you'd like to use, DEFAULT is "5", otherwise if you want to go from 9 down to 7, put in 7.
6: Save the file and then maximize/tab back into skyrim that is already running.
7: hit the "~"/console key and type in "refreshini"
8: Save the game as a new save file.
If your having trouble alt tabbing, make sure you have a window open of anything.. be it chrome/ie/documents folder.. whatever... even calculator.... because skyrim typically doesn't like alt-tabbing out if there is no other program/window open at the time.

I used 9 even before I had my current GPU and have yet to have a corrupted save file... looks a ton better too, even unmodded, due to the increased "drawdistance".

That ini tweak isn't needed anymore for the Official HD Texture Packs.

Loose Files have priority since a couple of patches ago.

Yes but certain ini. tweaks do help alot especially with the shadows.
The STEP mod ini.tweaks are perfect.

Also using Nexus mod manager makes it practically impossible to use any mods that require skyproc/reproccer patches.

Its out of date now and has been superseded by the much much better mod organizer.

    Here are my mods.....

edit...uploader is playing up so forget the mods for now.:)

Can you give me a link to that? NMM doesn't recognize my mods.

On a random note, I like the game but the voice acting could be a lot better, and more actors would be nice.

I spent several hours over the last couple of days combining some of the best textures available for Skyrim.

The tool used was "Texture Pack Combiner".
    http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20801
I was a bit skeptical about relying on another tool for texture combining. But this tool is amazing. Now, I think it is a must have.
It takes a bit of reading and research for the best possible result. But it's well worth it.

I combined the Big 3 texture packs of Skyrim :
    - Skyrim Realistic Overhaul
    - Serious HD Retexture
    - Skyrim HD

And, also combined small but essential ones like : SMIM, Ruins Clutter Improved, Realistic Smoke and Embers etc..

Now, the texture folder weighs about 8GB in size.
The result is outstanding. Well worth the effort and time spent.
I'll post some screenshots later when I get around to it.

Has anyone know a mod on steam how to have normal 3rd person camera? Which is centered always no matter if you zoom out or zoom in?

Hi, i'm playing skyrim with not too many mods, and use K ENB.

Is it normal with my rig, that i only have 35-42fps?

yes. FX series are terrible for skyrim due to low per core performance

Yeah Skyrim sucks for FX but I still manage a steady 65fps (which is what all my games are capped at)...

NMM out of date? It's being updated weekly and i don't have any issues using Skyproc Patches with NMM.

K ENB is anything but Performance Friendly.
