How do you get CCC to work with this driver? under custom install CCC is not even listed as an install component. (windows 7 64)

Would love to test these but they are no use to me without CCC.

I did do a custom install and they are not there..i downloaded the driver that a poster in this thread listed as a direct link though so maybe this is the problem..i'll try downloading asders link now and see what happens.

3DMark 11 Basic is the free version of 3D Mark 11.
It comes with only one preset and you can't customize the settings of the bench.

interesting, my idle voltage has increased to .9, its supposed to be .850 (as reported by ADL)

However, Vcc is reporting 0.942 with vdroop.

    wierd

3DMark 11 was the 2011 benchmark released by furturemark. The one you are talking about is just called 3DMark, dubbed 2013 edition. Two completely different benchmarks both DX11 though.

No worries, easy mistake to make with these companies failing (or refusing) to number their software properly!

voltages dropped back to normal...that was weird...

    Firestrike Regular/Extreme

    Beta 11
    6709/3354

    13.x
    6711/3355

    no effective gain.

    Sapphire 7970 OC eddition (non ghz/boost - black pcb) @ 1000/1450 1.175v

Although they did finally fix the annoying HDMI audio popup.

IMHO 3DMark is useless as a measure of a driver's quality. it doesn't reflect real world performance.

no it's not, 100 points in any 3dmark is 10x times more important than 1 fps increase in real world performance for example.

    More important for what exactly?

Anything less the 1000 points or 10fps difference is considered random chance in benchmarking.

When i see ppl state they get a higher score of 100 or 200 points in 3dmark i lol hard.

A sys restart or defrag can net you plus or minus 5fps in situations, so anything less then a 10fps increase or difference is redundant.

benchmarks are just stupid. the only thing I care about is if it makes the games I play faster and smoother. this driver is the faster and smoothest in all games I play

    A few tests tonight...

    My Setup:
    -- Intel i5 3570k @ 4.3ghz
-- 2 x Powercolor AX7870 Myst Edition (XT) in Crossfire (running Sapphire .30 Bios)
    -- Asus VG248QE 144Hz Monitor @ 1920x1080

    Settings done in AB:
    -- ULPS Disabled = checked
-- Extend Official Overclocking Limits = checked
-- Unofficial Overclocking Mode = Disabled
-- Force Constant Voltage = NOT checked.

    3DMark11 Performance Tests, 1920x1080, stretched
Settings: 1100/1500, Monitor set to 144Hz
    Catalyst 13.3 Beta 3 Drivers: (P)12896, Gfx = 16010
    Catalyst 13.x (12.101.2.1 April 16) Unofficial: (P)12895, Gfx = 16026

Settings: 1200/1600, Monitor set to 60Hz
    Catalyst 13.3 Beta 3 Drivers: (P)13407, Gfx = 17272
    Catalyst 13.x (12.101.2.1 April 16) Unofficial: (P)13374, Gfx = 17035

    Unigine Valley -- Extreme HD -- 1920x1080
Settings: 1210/1610, Monitor set to 60Hz
    Catalyst 13.3 Beta 3 Drivers: 79.8 FPS, Score = 3337
    Catalyst 13.x (12.101.2.1 April 16) Unofficial: 79.7 FPS, Gfx = 3334

As you can see, on my cards, the drivers performed almost identically in these benchmarks -- with the 13.3 Beta 3 drivers just barely edging out the 13.x drivers in almost every result.
