Hello, Is it possible somehow to install Windows 7 from an external HDD if i have the .iso file? or is it only possible from an USB pendrive? My Optical disc drive is dying.
Just use the USB method since BIOS and UEFI don't support boot from ISO images. That or buy a new ODD (assuming it's for your desktop), they're rather cheap these days. deltatux
You can use Microsoft's own tool to perform the operation. http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/html/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Back-Up-and-Recovery/Windows-7-USB-DVD-Download-Tool.shtml http://majorgeeks.com/Windows_7_USBDVD_Download_Tool_d6265.html http://www.askvg.com/create-windows...indows-7-usbdvd-download-tool-from-microsoft/
YUMI should work on an external HDD. May have to reformat it to FAT32. And woops... a few days late on this one.
