Thanks White Lightning but I did look at that link. I don't like having to install extensions and other stuff from those kinds of websites to download things though.

10558 for me. 1080p, fxaa3xHQ, no vsync, hardware at stock settings.

I like the looks. Nothing too fancy but hey, deferred lighting! That' s always good! I also feel almost guilty for starting to like the game (after the horrible reviews) based on the demonstration videos for the pc version :p

I hope they don' t limit it to post process AA only eventually. It' s a NVidia title, so maybe we can get some TXAA. The config.ini has two variables for antialiasing, one is AntiAlias=NONE, the other AltAntiAlias=FXAA3HQ, so here's hoping :pc1:

Ah right, they added deferred lighting.

That will explain why it only has post process AA.

I scored 11,281, S-ranking, but my CPU is currently at 3.2 GHz. That's at 1920x1200 with maxed out settings and FXAA3xHQ or whatever it's called.

I see the game already has a SLI profile but performance is a bit underwhelming considering the game doesn't look that great. The framerate dipped to 38 fps during the start of the second second for example. The engine is dated with blocky enemy models but the main human characters look decent.

There's a lot of content in this game and it is only costing me £13 so at that price even if it turns out to be a barebones console port as this benchmark suggests it will, it is still worth playing IMO. Just don't go in expecting a classic because it isn't.

I get a C rating whenever I run it. Dips down to just 12fps at one point. :3eyes:

The MTFramework engine is more optimized towards Nvidia I believe and AMD also doesn't have a proper profile for this game, I got a pretty OK score even so but that's mostly just due to the power of the hardware itself, no specific optimizations or such.
(Lowest was 22 ~ 24 FPS at the end of the first segment.)

(CPU reported at 3.20 Ghz which is it's default clock speed but it uses Boost so it's 3.75 according to Windows, could clock it higher but there's no need.)

heh so its a engine limitation, i mean 6core 12threads and only 22-24fps, i get 18-20fps or in winXP compatibility 20-22fps there.

This game needs dx11 multi threading asap.

Well according to the ini file 11 out of 12 threads are assigned but I can't tell if the game/benchmark actually uses them, hopefully it can at least manage to make use of a quad core CPU efficiently.
(My CPU has 6 cores but it's using hyper-threading so it reports as 12.)

@JonasBeckman: Ok. All max set except motion blur disabled -> My i5-2500K@4.5GHz got min 34 fps (far - lot of people) at 640x480 running Win 7 x64 with GTX 480@stock-reference but running XP x86 SP3, I got min 47 fps (far - lot of people) at 1024x768! :D

    Yes i know ;) i said 6core (12thread - because of HT)

Im curious if they're gonna do anything about this weird bottleneck. Capcom use to make good cpu utilization games, RE5 has a lot better code.

With my CPU back at 3.8 GHz, I score 13,320 with this demo and the slowdown is less severe (dips to 23 fps as the camera pans out though during the first section). Would like to have seen this running with DX11 and proper MSAA/CSAA support though.

You got min 23 fps at far - lot of people before end of part 1 despite 8 HT's while I got min 47 fps at 1024x768@0xAA (score 13511) and min 51 fps woww! at 720x480@0xAA (20032) running XP x86 with i5-2500K@4.5 and GTX 480-314.07WHQL(HQ) but I used all max set except motion blur off. :D

But unfortunately very likely DX11 won't added for full version :( because we remember that RE5 Benchmark has DX10 support. ;)

I noticed my GPU hit high 80s (Celsius) during the final part of benchmark. Is it normal?

Default auto-fan speed or manual 100% fan? Sounds hot-abnormal but try "Furmark" to see if temperature load is too hot - if abnormal then you should clean dust in videocard or in all PC system.

It is auto, though the min fan speed is 65% (GPU BIOS mod). I don't like to use Furmark because it is a torture to the GPU IMO ;) Anyway, the GPU usually stays belows 80. Only a few games like FarCry 3 will break 80, but still not as high as this one. So I am curious what the max temperature is when running this benchmark. Please post yours so I can make a comparison, thanks!

Yep its one of the most demanding games, just like Sleeping Dogs at maximum SSAA.

I also got max temps with this bench - at 950mhz Oc it was ~74C, Sleeping dogs ~72C (auto fan).

Guess its something with Deferred lightning and AO.
