When I set GPU fan 100%, CPU fan starts to drop fast!

I wasn't sure where to put this on the forum so I put it here.

My Issue is when I set my GPU fan to run at 100%, my CPU fan starts slowing down fast! causing my CPU itself to run at a higher temperature.

What could be an issue here?

my PSU is kinda old, probably 1.5 -2 years, its 800w tho.

The CPU fan is plugged to the motherboard or straight to the PSU?

Its strange that your video cards fan which is independant of the other fans in your PC would effect them.

Your not running any thing like SpeedFan or have your motherboard controlling fan speeds?

Although your video card draws the most power from the 12v rail and the system fans also draw from it you would think it negligible, you never know. Stick a DMM into a free molex plug and watch for fluctuations.

No Im not running speed fan, Also I have those options disabled in BIOS as well so the motherboard does not control the fans.

I actually just realized that I have corsair 750w power supply and not 800w like i thought...but still should be enough

Just a bit curious...Why would you have the GPU fans running at 100%? If you had to do that for some reason, maybe the problem is the motherboard?
