Ok guys, i'm set on the 3570K.

95% of the time they are the same, and they have ~ the same floating point performance (i'm getting my reference on IBT, since what I do for work is not too far away from that), and also I do almost no video encoding and no rendering, so the bonus that the 3770K would have is not good for me, but the lighter pricetag of the 3570K is.

Besides, there is a real possibility that I'll have to sell this computer in less than 2 years, so I'm not realy worried with future-proofness now.

    Thanks everybody for the help.

    Edit:

Do anyone know how if the performance of 2500K,2600K, 3570K and 3770K on IBT/LinX with both HT and AVX disabled, on stock speeds?

I'm realy trying to find it but I'm not.

So, my i5 just arrived, and I'm finishing the backups and recording some benchmarks for latter comparison. So, here are some of the present setup (x6 1090T+HD7970 all stock):

Also I get ~ 60 Gflops on LinX with stock speed, and that's one thing I'm looking foward to improove right now.

I haven't been playing too many games lately(but that's going to change), but I'm playing The Witcher 2 and it have been holding at 60 fps most of the time in 1080p @ high settings 4x AA.

If I remember right it also makes 100+ fps on RE5 and certanly 60+ fps on Starcraft 2, that's the only games I remember having benched, right now I'm more concerned to update my pc and benchmark it latter.

Now it's time to clean up the pc and move everything to the new case :D

If you don't have a MC nearby, 3570k would be the better choice imo. Just use the saved money on other things like an ssd maybe.

I wonder though, do Fry's price match, and will they match against Microcenter's 3570k and 3770k?
