To those having trouble with 13.2 beta five and far cry 3 locking up / freezing , particularly on startup , i fixed this by setting the core affinity in radeon pro to cores 1-4, these drivers and the game atleast seem to have issues with HT on my rig atleast. 7970 CFX 1400/1850. Windows 7 64 bit os.

Also make sure the user config file has the following and set the read only flag after the changes :

After ShowFPS="0" make sure it has MaxFPS="60" Gfx_Maxfps="60"

Without that added to the config its a stuttering mess in CFX, afterwards it still stutters now and then but its improved about 90% , eg playable.

for me it seems like Beta 5 doesn't like any other software than CCC.
Yesterday i installed Radeon Pro and just at the moment i started a game got a driver reset. It worked when i tried it again but this was the first time ever that i had a driverreset. Made the same expierience with overclocking software. A clean install didn't help. As long as i don't use any 3rd Party software to manipulate driver things everything works fine. Right now i dont unse anything - stability is most important to me.

13.2 beta5 have quite more microstuttering than beta4 on games like bf3.
    my gpu is 5770@6770

should i report this to amd? where i can do it? i know where to report regular errors, but this is a different kind.

i recently bought Gangsters and Startopia, because it went on sale on GOG.

For Startopia some of the textures is flickering all the time, especially the Berth room (sleeping room).

and can anyone ran Gangsters with the launcher provided by GOG ?

because it seems running, but nothing is happening for a long time, and i've also filed a report to GOG support, because no use buying it, if i can't play it.

Thanks. Try looking at light sources that are partially obscured by solid objects. You might notice "light bleeding" and unless jobs_numThreads is set to 0 the light will flicker.

Because I upgraded from 5850 to 7850 I had flickering in Skyrim with the official whql. Therefore I tried the bet 5 drivers and the texture flickering of trees and such things went away, but I have still some texture flickering of distant mountains.

That is Z-Fighting issue. In this case its game bug, since it has been reproduced on Nvidia cards.

New drivers crash when i play diablo 3 for a while, sometimes it just freezes the screen for 30 seconds and monitor(restarts) and its back to normal.

That sounds more like a thermal reset, not a crash...

    are you OCed?

what are your temps like when this happens?

When I install drivers now when the installation completes and I get a message saying "AMD Drives installed but some errors occurred" I click the link to see installation notes... and everything was installed successfully?

    Very weird?

its the C++ redistributeable. Been that way for years.

Ignore it and run windows update for the security update.

    OCL: 10.0.1124.2

How do I check what version I have installed? It does not appear in CCC anywhere that I can see?

    use GPU Z..

just mouse over to the OpenCL check box at the bottom of the GPUz window and a popup will show you what version of Open CL is installed . .
