    Hello,

I'm using a Samsung NP305V5A-S03IT (NP305V5AD) laptop with dual graphics. Tried different drivers (from 12.3 to the most current one 13.1) and still have a crappy problem, the High Performance GPU seems to be used little or not at all. Nothing's overclocked, Dual Graphics is enabled and below are my settings for Gaming.
Is there any way to fix this?

If it uses the software to automatically switch instead of being able to select which GPU you want to use, then you are screwed.
Unless there is a way in BIOS to select which graphics you want.
What does your Power pull down in CCC look like?

There is no BIOS setting to switch between GPUs.
PowerPlay is enabled and set to "Maximize Performance" when Plugged in. The games are all set to use High Performance

You should have this if truly switchable. Your software (CCC) is deciding which sucks.

What version of CCC is that? That section looks like this on mine:

That's the software deciding crap. Even though you are choosing in that stupid GUI. Had that when I first got my laptop. I had to install a modded BIOS quite awhile back to make mine where I decide. Afraid you are out of luck unless there is a modded BIOS for your laptop.

It may not be helpful, but you could try radeonpro.

Already tried radeonpro. Not sure it works, it also detects just one gpu in OverDrive.

    I hate AMD drivers

It's partially AMD's fault and partially the manufacturers fault. The BIOS plays a big part on these switchable laptops and many makers have not enabled fixed GPU selection in their BIOS.
    It really does suck.

He probably don't see this menu, because he have AMD+AMD switching.
    This we have with Intel+AMD...

The BIOS still is the culprit in not being able to switch on command between GPUs regardless whether AMD+AMD or Intel+AMD.
I had the same CCC GUI as the OP before I installed modded BIOS. After installing, the GUI appeared where I could select which GPU to use full time and not based on program exe files.

And that software way of selecting exe files doesn't work worth a darn. Hit and miss whether it really uses the better GPU when needed.

I wouldn't hold my breath. I contacted Acer when I first got my laptop, they didn't understand what I was talking about. They move on to the next model they are putting out and could care less about updating the BIOS on older models for something like this.

Had to get mine from third party site which luckily had it. The guy that modded it isn't even doing it anymore.

Good luck though. Maybe Samsung will be different.

Use MSI Afterburner to monitor both GPU usage while playing games.

Bear in mind that your platform can't do crossfirex on DX9 games, so Deadspace 3 is out of the question. Best to disable Dual Graphic/Crossfire option and set Deadspace 3 to use High Performance graphic.

Are the AMD+AMD laptops actually supposed to do XFire? Would shock me if it worked correctly.

Tried to disable Dual Graphics before. I think that makes it use just the APU, or at least that's what the image in CCC shows. No difference

AMD APU are capable to do CrossfireX between iGPU and dGPU.

The caveat is that for Llano APU, most if not all DX9 games wont support CFX on this platform.

For the newer Trinity APU, it does support for a few DX9 games.
After u disabled Dual graphic, did you set the game to use High Performance graphic?

Use MSI Afterburner OSD to confirm which card being use when u playing games. Don't just think and speculate.
Not all GPU support Overdrive and integrated GPU definitely not support. :3eyes:

Yes, high performance was set anyway. Used afterburner, gpuz, amd system monitor and gpu shark to confirm that only the integrated gpu is used. Radeonpro overdrive just detects the integrated gpu.

Open something that uses dedicated gpu and after that open some measurement software. If you open measurement software first it doesn't detect the high performance gpu.

Edit: i have just realized that it is amd+amd! what i said is for intel+amd.

In bios I can choose only automatic or integrated.
    I have it on automatic.
This menu in CCC appeared for me because AMD added it to CCC...
That's why I think that bios doesn't have impact to this setting...
