Nothing wrong with old. I'm still on X58. See my recent thread on here for pics of the rebuild with H100i. Just re-optimising my OC now with stupidly fast, stupidly much RAM. Zip-tieing those HDD cables is a brilliant idea, why didn't I think of that? XD

You have had some epic systems over the years and I remember every single one, but we're now in the situation where over the last couple of years you've bought 2nd hand stuff off me and it used to be the other way around.

Get back on the horse John :D

I remember when you first built that rig John! Did a great job - and that stacker is still an awesome case for a w/c build. Good to see it get some attention again!

True enough, the X58 was stupidly fast for its time so it's holding up quite well still. Especially with some CPU OC. I've not felt the need for more CPU power/memory throughput yet. What are you using 24GB of RAM for though? I stuck in another 6GB for 12GB just now because I just remembered having another 6GB lying around. I could really do with a new GPU though, my X2 is ancient. Although, it still runs games surprisingly well. All proves you really don't need the newest stuff all the time... I used to upgrade everything at least once a year.

Sure, if you're funding it. Since I've been funding your wild life of gambling and drinking, perhaps you could funnel some cash my way for a new build? :p

Thank you! Good to see you're still around, always with the newest stuff! I put a lot of thought and time into building it back then. Some of the ideas are quite smart if I might say so myself. That became clear as I pulled it apart this weekend. :D

I use 24GB for my audio recording stuff. Got a home studio, record my own music and that of other bands from time to time. That and a certain level of e-peen, plus it looks crap having empty ram slots :D

I really like them they move a lot of air and are very quiet, the build quality is pretty good and they come with rubber guards on the screw holes and come with rubber mounts too. I have 11 of them in my system right now and the only noise i'm getting is all the air moving in my system.
I usually buy them on newegg when they go on sale for $9.99 with free shipping.

    I wouldn't call it "Mid Range" :)

However, why use 1 monitor when you got a pair of 680s? It's just wasteful if you ask me, you need to pick up 2 more monitors... the other 680 is just sitting idly in your rig.

Cable management can be improved as well in a case such as the CM690 but overall a very impressive rig.

Tnx for the comment. My 680 SLI will struggle if I add another 120hz Monitor. Am I right? :)
