Cool I guess, but why is this standalone and just not part of the driver uninstallation process anyway? Wouldn't need another program if CIM just uninstalled the driver as intended...

This is true... I wonder if it'll be implemented better to the drivers later on...

It's also really annoying that the uninstaller is not an installable binary (something like driver sweeper). Instead, one has to run the executable each time a driver needs to uninstalled, without being able to choose what he wants to uninstall. In most cases, you'd want to only remove the display driver and not other components, such as AMD API, etc (if you have that installed).

I suppose if that's what you want to do. But you can choose what to install and what not to uninstall already. You don't have to do express uninstall. I wouldn't want to do it that way as it seems they do update all aspects of the drivers.

Yeah, which just makes this tool all the more pointless, except as a 'clean wipeout' directive for your system's AMD technologies.

Super duper! Hopefully doesn't turn out to be a rabbit hole and fails to do the job, or worse.

Please post results of using it. I'm too chicken to try it until positive reviews. :)

Just used it to wipe out Cat 12.11 Beta11.

Didn't even need to uninstall the drivers first and go through the whole shizzle of rebooting -> load DriverSweeper -> reboot -> install drivers -> reboot.

I just ran the .exe and it automated the whole process for me.

Took 2 reboots in total to wipe out the old drivers and install the new 13.1WQHL.

    This tool is pretty swanky.

They stuck with the format people are used to. I think its awesome. Amd has been doing some pretty cool stuff this last year.

Right on! Will give this a try..

PS, would anyone have any idea why when I uninstall drivers my screen goes black and doesn't come back up? I have to reset my system and then it loads windows in basic mode.. odd.

Wow, AMD kicking some goals in 2013! Two sets of new drivers, an uninstall utility... damn.

    Warning
This Uninstall utility completely messed up my Windows 8 installation, resulting in:
    1) Loss of all power plans and inability to change any related settings.
    2) Inability to enter Safe Mode / Advanced startup.
    3) Messed up "Personalization" window - some themes missing and wrong names.
    4) Messed up text "Language Bar", displaying DLL file names.
    5) Probably more unseen.

Consequently, I've tried running "sfc /scannow", twice. It found corruption but was unable to fix anything.
After restoring my system to an earlier point, I've confirmed that this utility is the exact and sole cause.
Once again- I mean, great support AMD, thanks.

This is the same thing that happened to me! I just did a system restore also... :bang:
