Doesn't seem to really be a thread talking about the re-release of FFXIV, considering it's previous state wasn't even acceptable for purchase, they've decided to re-release the game. Also, on topic...Anyone in the Alpha?
I kinda forgot about that game. When is the re-release launch date? To what extent did they remake it? When I first played the original release, I was dumped into a "town" with perhaps the worst layout in history. Shop mechanics were meh. Fighting mechanics were.... unintuitive. The quest system was bonkers. The whole game felt like it needed to be rebuilt from the ground up.
The re-release is scheduled for early 2013 hopefully, they've created the game from the ground up and I must say, the changes in such a short time are phenomenal! FFXIV is a whole different game!
Let's hope so. Now that I have a graphics card that can handle that game properly, I'd look forward to trying it again. If nothing else, it was very beautiful.

The old FFXIV was absolutely AWFUL, even I agree with you on that one. Remember when it first got released we had that sh***y fatigue system and...8 leves per day? Jeeeez.... Glad things have been corrected and fully revamped for ARR
Ooo, jumping! If I can't jump in a game, there better be a damn good reason. When I'm idling in a game, I jump around for no reason. Not being able to do that causes me some crazy anxiety.

I am in the Alpha... as an avid FFXI player and without ruining the NDA... i don't think ARR will disappoint. Its shaping up quite nicely.
