    lol look @ http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/nvidia-geforce-310-70-drivers-released

See the graph? Looks like a 1fps improvement. Hardly trust those nonsense graphs. Most likely the same if not worse I'm guessing.

18% improvement with Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena.....Yeah, that's what customers have been requesting lol.

Would offering praise over borderlands such minuscule performance increase be advisable instead? To paraphrase "New drivers make it run less ****ier" $500 card struggling? Throw in a second card doesn't fix it, dedicated physx card doesn't fix it. It's out of the consumers hands, we support them by purchasing their awesome hardware yet the whole driver situation judging by the last 10 years will continue to be hit or miss shaky forever.
If you meant complaining about riddick I meant it more in a odd way due to its date of release.

I'd much prefer to simply play the game instead of complaining here.

    How does the process work if it's outside of gearbox' hands;
    *Priority/time/man power allocated for improvement?
*Demand of game/if it sold well?
    *Complaints/feedback?
*If it's going to be a benchmark game worth noting? (does nvidia/ati choose what games are to be benched in site reviews?)
    *Cash from devs?
*If its a 'nvidia' game, higher priority?

    Surely there is some process.

We were told by gearbox dev via twitter it was being looked into upon launch. Yet that tweet was removed.
They later stated they were working on it again, if this is the outcome or if a better outcome is around the the corner I'd prefer to wait and play it when its fixed. Keeping us in the loop wouldn't hurt from both parties. They love pr crap on twitter

Don't know why Gearbox hasn't released any decent improvements for the core performance of the game, especially in areas like Thousand Cuts, every time I've asked the response has always been "We're currently working on it"
There's only so much AMD/Nvidia can do with drivers for problems the developers need to fix.

Sorry for my snappy post, just had some bad news about my health :)

Thanks for the link - maybe the relevant stuff might have been helpful. Have just installed these drivers, I'll give them a crack later.

Borderlands 2: Performance increased by 5.3% at 2560x1600 when using max settings and PhysX High. At 1920x1080 performance increased by 3.3%.

    See, relevant stuff.

Edit: Went to Thousand Cuts area where the graphics tends to drop to around 45 all over the place. Wasn't as bad throughout the whole area, but wasn't great either. Did notice it drop to 45 when I got to the bit where the loaders are deployed, down the bottom, but at least it didn't drop in the top section like it had been.

So, I've been working through the Gearbox Support team trying to get their assistance with it. They've asked for screenshots with both my 570 and 670 with the framerate showing. I've done the run through the Thousand Cuts area as that seems to be one place that it crawls to a halt regularly in single player.

Left all software settings the same for the nvidia control panel and BL2.

excellent work, the 670 really has much lower framerates than your 570 (approx 35 fps vs 60), even though the unigine benchmark says the opposite, that the 670 is 2x as powerful. hopefully someone takes notice.

Well, I've been in touch with Gearbox support and they now have these results, the only contact I have with nVidia is the reps on this forum, who say they've opened a bug but they don't appear to be responding to PMs. As for the 570 out performing the 670, it's only in BL2 that this is the case - BF3 the 670 stomps the 570, and I'm playing a few other games at the moment as well.

I'm keen to go back and play the rest of the side missions, but with these problems persisting I can't be bothered. Hopefully before the next DLC comes out we'll have something...

I think it's due to PhysX... I was under the impression the GTX600 series is a little bit slower for PhysX calculations?

How is the performance if you set PhysX to Low which is essentially turning it off.

Performance is better with PhysX set to low, but there are still many places where the game will run at 40-55 fps on a 6xx series card for seemingly no reason.

With PhysX set to low, the game runs fine - no noticable slow downs. But what's the point of buying the high end hardware that is "The way it's meant to be played" only to turn settings down?

Have PM'd Andy and Manuel on here to see if there is any progress on this issue from nVidia's end but haven't heard anything back. The silence is maddening!

While I haven't looked on the weekend, it appears to go to the middle tier setting, not the full setting. Can double check tonight!

I too highly doubt they will fix it. If you look at Borderlands 1, it still have performance problems with drops far below 60FPS on high-en systems. Even though it has no hardware PhysX support.

Yah I've resorted to playing on PhysX set to Medium as that is playable and isn't a huge difference from having it set to High. I hope Nvidia and/or Gearbox will fix the performance issues but I kinda doubt it. :(

Got this game for free when when I bought my 670.

In short...the game runs like a piece of crap. I would be so pissed if i payed for this game.

It leaves a bad impression getting a new card and playing this as your first game.

The weirdest part is - it runs fine if I put my old 570 back in my system.

No replies from nVidia since Manuel said he was re-raising a bug. No further replies from Gearbox. A new friend picked it up and I joined his co-op game - down to 35fps everywehre again with it. Getting p***ed off at the lack of assistance.
