Crysis 3?

Very probably, my GTX 480 will get 60 fps with ultra settings at 720p.

 

Shouldn't be any reason not to support DX10 hw when the game is also coming to the 360/PS3

 

There is, instead of wasting time testing it works ok on DX10 they can instead spend the time optimising it for newer cards.

 

Hopefully it will be better optimized than FC3 and AC3. If they focus on optimizing AA, SLI and DX11, and don't take shortcuts with textures I'll be happy.

 

What, did they get confused with enthusiastic level CPU?
Is this FX new Piledriver or somebody messed up.

 

i7-2600K isn't equal to and is faster than FX-4150.

I can already see some people say that it lacks a Maldo setting.

 

That sounds really good.
(Though of course enabling all that will likely have a pretty severe performance hit but that's kinda expected, heh.)

 

The Seven Wonders of Crysis 3 Teaser

 

Looks ridiculously good, I can't see much if anything looking as good in 2013, even Metro Last Light as that doesn't look like much of a jump over the first game.

Still not convinced on the gameplay though, Crytek appear more interested in making CG movies and engines than games.

 

SO many people want to discount this game before it's released because they didn't like the 2nd one.

Based on what I've seen so far, they are addressing many of the complaints. Looks like this mission is an early one... but still seems to have the possibility of freedom. I'm interested.... so far.

The only thing I don't like so far is that it uses the same suit setup from the 2nd game... which I didn't like. Also, the "super jump" looks less like a super jump and more like a "slightly higher than normal" jump. In Crysis 1, it seemed like you could jump much higher.

 

yeah, in C1 there was a big dif between human and suit actions, in c2 i felt like Master Chief from a little game you fellas probably not heard of...Soul Calibur IV.

 

I am playing C2 right now and i am enjoying it but story is crap. It feels like they skipped a part between island and new york. I hope C3 will be a lot better.

It looks amazing but the biggest concerns remain, one of them is that it can look great but it is consolish playstyle. After watching the video you linked, I saw a couple of things I didnt like, you see there is a companion like every freaking game puts a guide because apparently people are too retarded to figure things out. This video show someone just going through everything Rambo style. There are other things but I think I made my point.

 

And, there are those of us that like the second one over the first.
And with that, I'm looking forward to the third in hopes that it takes what the second one did and expands upon that.

 

Yup it looks a lot like the second game, just more. Let's see how the final product turns out.

Still, what he says about Crysis 2 still applies to PC games, so I look forward to seeing how Crysis 3 might push my hardware.

 

It's a bigger accomplishment on consoles, any half decent dev can make things look good on a PC, optimising is a different story and Crytek have always tended to skip that part.

It does mention the PC though, says the PC version is two levels beyond.
