Why is the Galaxy brand gtx 660 so much cheaper than the other brands? It's been listed at this price before and sold out - so it's not a one time sale. It is priced at $175 with a 10 rebate, while the next nearest is $210 after rebate. Is there something I'm missing in regards to the hardware, or is it actually as good of a deal as it seems? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814162123
I should have clarified, it's always listed at $175 (originally 229.99) - so even though technically it's a sale, it's at its' highest listed price. As far as the hardware, there's not too much that could be inferior to other brands is there? I'm aware Galaxy isn't the highest rep'd brand name, but at that price I'd gamble.
They make good cards and products, a lot of times they are cheaper then other brands. Its simple economics; Sell more product at lower price, instead of selling less product at higher price.
Galaxy cards are no better or worst than any other reference based card.... When they're cheaper, they're well worth the money. I've been using their cards on and off for years.
errm... ya, my fault Glad to hear they're a decent card because myself and 3 members of my family are getting one for Christmas! If history repeats itself, they'll have more in stock in about a week.
