Try and the cap the frame rate at 60. Works with me for any game i'm getting stuttering with in full screen. Or use D3DOverrider and turn v-sync off in game.
It sounds like a V-sync issue to me. Try disabling v-sync both in the Nvidia control panel and in game and see if that resolves the issue.
You could try it through Nvidia Inspector or download MSI Afterburner and use the RTSS to cap the frames.
it does help mate... but with V-syn off i got screen tearing right at the center of screen and with V-sync on : stuttering still persist, by the way my MSI show my fps abound 59.8 ..Is it odd???
I tend to get the same, I remember Fifa 12 having the same "stuttering" problems too. I think you should try D3DOverrider which can be downloaded here http://www.sendspace.com/file/euti3m. Make sure v-sync is turned off in game and through the Nvidia control panel. Now add Fifa 13 to d3d Overrider and enable v-sync and triple buffering through there. Hope this helps.
it does solve the problem mate!!!!! ...but it occasionally drop to 52 with no reason at all as well, However this is the best method that solve my stuttering problem so far. MSI cap fps at 60 + turning on V-sync and Triple Buffer in D3DOverride = help improve my gameplay and eliminate stuttering cutscene One more thing, What's the difference between turning on V-sync and Triple Buffer in D3DOverride and in Nvidia control panet. Can i use Nvidia inspector for cap my fps instead of MSI??
You can cap it using inspector yes, but ive found MSI to do a better job with most games tbh. And i'm pretty sure triple buffering only works for open gl games when using it through the nvidia control panel.
Thank you mate.. I don't understand why FIFA13 has problem with V-sync. FIFA11 and 12 was just fine. I don't know if it was the game itself or my GPU that cause the issue.
Seems to be quite common these days, unfortunately. Sleeping dogs, Hitman, and now Far Cry 3 have this annoying stutter/jerky feel to it if I don't cap the frame rate.
Can we set the number in Maximun pre-rendered frame option in NVCP instead of using triple buffer in D3DOverride?? and why not V-sync in game option or NVCP?? Why i have to turn it on via D3DOveride to get it works properly?? Thanks for educating me mate..
I'm really not sure, all I know is it seems to work. Maybe it's the drivers the game or even windows that's the problem or a mixture.
the weird thing is turing V-synce on in NVCP works very well in FIFA12 but not FIFA13 anyway ..with the solution you've recommend is the best solution so far ..however i still got fps drop from 60 to 32 from time to time though.
