well if you had a overclock instability i am guessing that its because the driver is fully utilising the hardware now and is pushing it the way its supposed to

With any driver before r301 i could run at 2280mhz, since r304 only ~2215mhz, now with r306 2200-2210mhz. Im still happy with 2200mhz though :nerd:

Maybe now with r304- r306 i need more volts, i didnt try 30mv at 2250mhz+ yet, but i think i won't either..Kinda scared to push so much volts xD

I got this also, but this is an engine problem.

To fix this I put the game in windowed mode (non-fullscreen) and then use Gamecompanion from Buda20 http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=39550 and the game runs stutter free!

What if you run in windows 7 compatibility mode?

What voltages and clockspeeds are you running right now?

Since r304 for 2150mhz (10mv) before up to ~ 2180mhz, 2200mhz (20mv) before up to ~ 2280mhz. I think my gpu uses Samsung chips, i saw Hynix overclocks lower.

    And by gpu 900mhz i had to raise +6mv (1.056v), before r301 i was ok at 1.049v. :)

I noticed Crysis2, Nexuiz, BF3 are the most stressful atm.

I see, guess its worthless if its happening in Win7 too, maybe try Vista compatibility just in case or yes stick to borderless window for now.

its a common thing that dif drivers versions make cards OC different, it happened to me and mostly all cards and drivers, the thing for me is that if drivers are well optimized for games to max the use of GPU it will obvious ask for more volts

for ex i run high res 2560x1440 all ULTRA on BF3 before on other branches of drivers i saw 66%ish of use of each GPU and i was runing some OC, not it uses 88% to 90% on some maps so my other OC doesnt run OK unless i notch volts

    Cheers !!!

Yes that's what i noticed too with various driver branches.

305.67 and 306.23 were ok at 2215mhz (still r304), these 306.89 and 306.97 (r306) i had to lower Vram OC.

Gpu voltage is ok since i raised for 6mv, (started with r304). Before I was ok with lower and in both cases I had high gpu usage, I guess Nvidia squeezed even more power now with r304 and r306 branch.

It's a common thing that there are plenty of other reasons which make card OC different.
Dust, ambient temperature, degradation of components (GPU, PSU, MOBO) to name few.

And when he says that on previous driver he was OK at xyz MHz and bla-bla volts,
I wouldn't let this "OK" of his run Calendar/Clock at bronies convention. That's how OK was his previous overclock.

I have enough of him reporting his OC woes on every single beta leak, without you encouraging him :)

This driver version 306.97 WHQL have a little fail.
Random time, automatically switching to windowed mode, but otherwise everything works ok

uh... that's a nasty one, but my bet would be - it's got nothing to do with driver

    try turning off all(unnecessary) schedules/updates

Can anyone confirm a bug im seeing, In NV Control Panel under system information its saying my 660 Ti is running at PCI Express x16 Gen2 :(

But in GPU-Z it says it is running at PCI-E x16 3.0 :)

I'm just happy my GF6800GT is still supported! LOL

I'll test some games with the 560Ti later!

Normal?? Monitor loses signal for 2 seconds at boot after Windows logo?

    Hi,
Recently I installed the 650ti 306.xx drivers with the custom inf at guru3d for my triple SLI 670. I believe since then when booting into Windows after the windows boot logo comes on, my ASUS VG278H monitor loses signal for about 3 seconds before the desktop shows up (monitor says DVI NO SIGNAL). This appears to happen during the resolution switch. I actually have NV surround with three of these monitors, but the same behavior occurs with one enabled or all three.

I am not 100% sure that this didn't always happen but I don't recall it happening prior to the custom inf/650ti drivers. I attempted to uninstall them in safe mode and used Driver Fusion but all the drivers do this now.

Did I hose something with my Windows install or is this normal? It does not appear to affect bootup speed but it seems odd that the monitor loses signal temporarily. Thanks.
