I've been looking forward to this for a while. I've had my PC set up in my living room for 5 years now and I don't think there is any going back for me. An interface like this isn't really needed but I think it will help people with the transition from desk to livingroom.

Might even get people thinking about building a HTPC rather than buying a next gen console.

Very nice, just as i was starting to think i would end up stop using Steam, Valve bring out Greenlight then this.

Since i'm trying to get away from a traditional desktop GUI this looks perfect.

Looking forward to trying this out later today.

Looking good! I hope they will refresh the standard steam ui as well!

Edit: Just tried it, pretty cool timing too as I will be purchasing a 40" TV as a secondary monitor :)
MS should've taken this route and kept both the Desktop UI and the Modern UI in the new OS just like Valve did with Steam, I would've been furious if all we had was BPM :p

What? You don't like it? Now you can use Steam with your controller. ;) :p

OMG!! I really like and want this. Steam just gets better and better. Is there something like a Steam rehab? Got a case of Steam addiction here. Finally being able to install for instance TF2 onto my SSD, the darn thing just loads too slow because of the damn hats! :nerd:

For someone, like me, who is using a large flatscreen television as a monitor, what are the selling points that make me want to use this? (I've invested NO time researching it.)

Try envisioning the standard steam UI on a TV a few feet away. Add in controller support for navigation.
