    http://www.synology.com/products/product.php?product_name=DS112j&lang=enu

Single drive. Up to 4 TB. I've been using a 2.5tb seagate drive for over 2 years without a hitch and given that it's just for .wav files ( 2 channel ) read speed is of.no issue.

Not that it matters; going to but Seagate BArracuda 3TB 7200rpm, 64mb cache Sata III.

$165Aus dor the Nas and 195 for the hdd.

I probably only need 1Tb for my muaic though and it's only $95aus ( same speed ).

So we'll see how it goes. Been ripping cds in best quality WAV all night
... Turns out FLAC Is only a minor decrease in file size.

370mb for best quality FLAC vs 500mb for max quality WAV.

Even with my 500cds thats barely 500gb...

COST? Hard to tell retail is well over $10,000 but I have been in and out of the industry over the last 10 yrs and have got many of this stuff for half or less. Retail all the speakers I have cost somewhere around $7500 but I paid a total of $2300 over the course of 10 yrs for all of them. You can get a great price when your discount is half or less and then you go one step further and buy used from a co-worker for about half of that half. Receiver (1) retails for $1000 I think I paid $300 new. TV Retailed for $2700 think it was $400 for the last one in inventory with the free conversion box that I sold on ebay for $200. Receiver 2 retailed for $2200 I got it for $100 2 yrs old from co-worker. All monster surge protectors where free. Most monster cables where free. The custom cables that I made where a few hundred. The amps I bought where all under $300 each used and I can sell them back for the same price. The T amp cost me around $100 to make $20 for the chip and $60 went into the power supply and another $20 went into wood and various parts. The subwoofer I got direct from infnity through the accomodations and it was less than dirt cheap it has an adjustable Q which makes it perfect for a home sub. I built the enclosure out of 1" MDF and carpeted it. It has over 100LBS of melted lead shot glued to the bottom of the inside with an entire tube of solar seal 9000 (will never ever come apart). So the sub doesn't move AT ALL!!!

Nice to see that a lot of you are out of the country so at least some of you may actually
know the brand of speakers I own LOL

Nice Senn cans. Not a fan of the denon pair but I almost bought those Senns direct through Sennheiser accomodations but I want to say at the time (2002) they where only sold in a package with a sennheiser headphone amp. Or atleast on the accomodations page. I choose the 2nd best headphones on the list at the time which where the 590s which 10 years later are still awesome even though there is no lettering left on them and the foam is very flat.

depending on what music I listen to depends on which headphone I prefer. Both are great. Senn's are awesome for female vocals and the Denon's rule for bass heavy tracks.

Well this is a Bedroom setup, so nothing too special - I have my 680 SLi via HDMI to Denon 1610 via HDMI to Sony KDL-55HX853. I have the Jamo A102 5.1 Speaker Package, and I can say for a bedroom, this is a lovely setup for both movies and games.

As I game with a controller I have no need for a desk, I use a wireless keyboard with touchpad for PC operation, and sit in my comfy chair, no need for desk/chair.

I will try and get a picture up.

Sorry about the awful picture quality.

This is a bedroom setup for movies and games.

    Sony Bravia 55HX853
    Denon 1910
    Dali Vokal Center
    Dali Zensor 1
    Mordaunt Short BiPolar Rears
    Jamo Sub
    Xbox
    PS3
    PC

I could do with upgrading the Jamo Sub... but tbh, Games and Movies honestly look and sound fantastic, so I am just being a bit picky there.

And yes I have Borderlands wallpaper.. I am a HUGE fan of the game.

Currently enjoying BF3 and Borderlands 2, on the PC, I use a controller to play as I enjoy playing that way and like to sit in my comfy chair - despite being far far superior with M+K obviously however I do not even have a desk any more, I use the Logitech K400 for general operation. Playing MP BF3 with a controller and no aim assist vs M+K users is ofc very hard however I do not care I enjoy it allot and have a great time and that's all I care about these days, BF3 maxed vsync on at a solid 60FPS looks and feels fantastic on this setup with a controller.

And that's Haywire with Gina Carano Jetster, I think? quite a decent action movie tbh, specially if you enjoyed her short reign in Strikeforce which was cut short by matching her up with a male fighter.
