    Update 640k passed @ 1333 @ 1.65v @ 8-8-8-23. Going to try 7-7-7-23, dont think it will boot though.

Raise the memory clock back up to 1600mhz and try 8-9-8-24-32.

You shouldn't need 1.65v either, 1.5v is enough.

Btw increasing the NB will do wonders for your rig.

no everything is back to stock, starting from scratch. and the dram v wasnt at 1.65v i duno why i though that, it was at 1.5v. But 8-9-8-24 didnt boot. 9-9-9-24 boot but i got rounding error immediately in prime.

It should do those timings easily at 1600mhz....is it cheap Corsair stuff?

Either way it won't make much difference to your performance except in benchmarks.

It wouldn't surprise me, I've had to RMA brand new DDR3 Corsair because it was bad.

My local supplier told me it's common with Corsair ram.

Okay back. I thew 4g wintec ampx 1333 in there. Set the timings (stock cas @ 9), set to 7-7-7-18 running prime no errors yet. If i pass 640k ill start working on increasing the NB hopefully to around 2.7-2.8.

Going to stick with those timings (7-7-7-18) since stock for these is 9-9-9-27.

Just finish running @ 2600 no problems. Think ill keep it there and start on the CPU. Multiplier or bus since the ram is 1333?

Use the multi if you can, if you have decent 1333 ram it should run 1600 at about 9-9-9-24 btw.

My BIOS is almost identical to yours, so let me know if you need help with configuration.

Oh and yeah try to use the edit button - if you post numerous times in a row it's considered spamming.

    1333 @ 7 is 5.25ms and 1600 @ 9 is 5.62ms, so 1333 @ 7 is faster right?

    Passed Prime @2800.

Ill start on the CPU multiplier.
