Yes, if you have no problem stealing..... For those that believe in doing the right thing, it doesn't launch until October.

Promoting stealing is not really an idea.

Also does anyone know if the leaked version is the actual final version? I mean aren't they still doing some testing or they are probably preparing for the release.

RTM is done. MSDN and TechNet will have access to the final release in 5 days. Consumer release is October 26

The RTM is for sure NOT the final version. There's still graphics problems and video issues that cause the OS to hang and blink screen and even Explorer crashes that aren't uncommon when multitasking. I'm surprised they called it RTM. More like BETA.

RTM = Release to Manufacturers = HP, Dell, Gateway, etc....have all been sent their copies.

    RTM means development is complete.

Considering it hasn't been released (officially), don't expect consumer level support for it.

Been running every version since the first released beta on my laptop and I never experienced any issues.

Having the metro interface on a tv really really makes sense and is amazing. I was a hater at first too but its awesome. Desktop mode for gaming and windowed stuff and metro for everything else....perfect.

Apparently "It works the way you want"? Err.. No it doesn't!! I work in a Start Menu/Desktop environment, not this sad immitation of an overgrown iPad.

God, wish there was the Windows Update equivalent of 'Hide update' :bang:

This will depend how far you sit from the TV.
When its too far away to use 1080p, such that you need 720p, metro will be easier than 1080p text/icons.
When close enough to use 1080p, metro isnt preferable (for me at least :)).

Of course this is independent of the start menu issues, I still want my full start menu regardless of resolution or how far away I sit.

My only issue with the RTM is that is seems a bit sluggish when switching between tiles. other than that it seems great, better than the Preview builds. Also noticed for some odd reason one of my terabyte drives doesn't show up in explorer, but is fine in Windows 7.

    EDIT:

Well figured out why the drive wasn't showing for some reason Windows 8 didn't give it a letter, and the more I run it the faster it seems. So far the interface is pretty easy to work, in fact I'm liking it (although I still hate the start screen, wish they had done away with it completely, and put all the programs in it on a dock or something).

Well that's why you make the tiles bigger....works perfect for me. My tv isn't huge, its a 42" 1080p and im sitting about 6-7 feet away from it.

Here is what it looks like:

    and that's full screen obviously.

It is personal preference in the end but I find this more than manageable.

IMO that's way better start screen than pure desktop.

I'm getting tired of waiting for launch day.... MS really should allow pre-orders themselves.

Its been working surprisingly well for me too, I just have a few issues with web pages going completely grey for 2-5 seconds every 5 minutes which is really annoying when im readying.....for instance forums haha. Other than that, its a real treat. Im going to be sad when I have to format and reinstall when the official release drops :(

edit: oh and crysis 2 dx11 dosent work with win8 but that seems like a problem on crytek's end as its all over the web.
