"Mr. Olympics Organizer, sir. We need something good enough to beat the Chinese opening ceremony from 2008!" "Hmm... How about Bean?"
I really enjoyed the opening ceremony, I think they really got it spot on! (except for Paul M, he should retire and spend his money. He cant sing anymore) lol. It was a celebration of GB and modern life, there was a big theme of unity all throughout the ceremony. Having each team bring out a piece of the torch was absolute genius too!
No they were giving him a well overdue thanks for what he has done On a side note I hope we see some Spitfires and that Lancaster on the closing ceremony, we only got the Red Arrows
Torch was good. Mr Bean was really the only decent thing that happened. And Paul can't sing to save his life. That was just a massive embarrassment to be honest.
Having watched the London 2012 Opening Ceremony, I must say... I've seen better Bond girls. ------------------------- Well done Danny Boyle. Nothing says "London" better than youths setting fire to stuff. ------------------------ I certainly enjoyed the opening ceremony which displayed the history of the early 20th century Britain. I can't wait until the games are held in Germany. ------------------------- The logic of British people: Huge Olympic opening ceremony- £27 million Andy Carroll-£35 million -----------------------
Rule of the law, public schools education and the prominent role of sports within education system, as well as within society, is what made Britain great once. Then all of the sudden they couldn't even win Wimbledon anymore, and everything went downhill :wanker:
For real is the first opening in watch full (in fact i only remember the arrow-throwing @ barcelona 92, replay...), it's normal that they are ALL about the host country?, if they are they should change it... its world's olympic games, or either give it once to EVERY country in this world. The ceremony was good to watch tho, but so UK-centric (again idk if that's normal)
I couldn't care less about the Olympics, but I thank it for stuff like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TGTm9HBKH0&feature=player_embedded
Locog does it again, with their 'tickets for the boys' attitude! However, Hannah Miley didn't really have any sort of chance against those two Chinese girls in her final. So it wouldn't really have mattered if the arena had been packed full of us Brits cheering our little socks off!
I was in the Stadium and it was incredible. The TV sound feed was borked on McCartney's set, Live it was note perfect.
WTF, someone saw what happened in fencing (thanks pill ) http://www.marca.com/2012/07/30/jjoo/esgrima/1343677479.html Timer stopped a few times until the german one "won"? :S.
i really love the olympics, records are getting shattered and great events overall. id fail of a GBR sprinter LOL
NBC Air An Extremely Racist Commercial After Gabby Douglas Olympics Gold Medal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1iUSARF_v4&feature=player_embedded LOL
What's racist about the commercial? What if you saw it in isolation? Any offensive connotations are strictly in your own head.
