Hi guys. I went from a 6950 xfire, then to a single 6950, then i tried the Gigabyte Nvidia HD 670 Windforce 3X. but i sent it back as for 1 i just couldn't get all aa working in rfactor.(no problems with AMD cards) and it stuttered in games to much! Now i'm on a Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7970 Windforce 3X. I've been trying BF3. in game i have everything maxed out, 1920x1200, but no blur! In the CCC Control i have, as seen below! Does everything look ok there? It just don't feel butter smooth like i thought it would! if i turn 4xaa off in game, it helps abit. I uninstalled the drivers, then rebooted in safe mode, run Driver Sweeper, rebooted, installed the drivers, rebooted. I have tried 12.6/12.7 drivers. still the same. (not sure which would be better) do you think i'll have to reformat the drive and start over? Some advice would be much appreciated. Why would i lie about that, it's very common, google it:bang: If u dont have any help then dont reply plz P.s dont reply to this thanks
Just want to know why isn't it as smooth as i thought it would be? Should i re format see i've had nvidia card in there Cheers Pill
Well saying "it's not smooth" doesn't really help much...is it stuttering/fps drops/lag you're describing or....? With 6GB ram it's possible the PF is being used which causes stutter...BF3 runs best with 8GB ram....is it only BF3 that's affected? I wouldn't reinstall the OS either, a good clean out with DS or whatever should be enough.
The game play don't feel smooth! it's like a slow down of frame movement. I have 16GB of ram Not sure what the problem could be then, i really thought that card would be much better. happends in other games abit also. Cheers anyways
^^^^^this^^^^^ also are you playing single or multi player,if your mouse movement is really fast you could lower sensitivity abit
i have 16gb mate.. The mouse is fine, just the movement of moving around isn't as smooth as it should be Only play multi player
if u guys read in the first post your see my spec lol anyway thanks for the help. i just have to reformat and go from there. > gets rid of 6950 cf > installs GTX 670 over amd installed OS > complaints about stuttering.(no duh) > gets 7970.. not pure smooth, installs over nvidia drivers. i loled.
mate what u talking about lol i uninstalled the nvidia driver blimy im not that thick!!!!!!!!! what difference would it make installs GTX 670 over amd installed OS ? i have never had an issuie.. most say it be fine, u dont seem to think so so u think each time u change from amd to nvidia vise versa, u have to do new os install ?
Ok I start over and see if it sorts it. I just tried C.A.R.S and thats so slow. Is it best to install service pack when updating my os 7 64bit. Cheers.
