Festival season is neigh! Anyone attending any cool/ awesome festivals this year? I'm only doing Norwegian festivals this year, then again.. they are the best! Haha.. Hovefestivalen with The Shins, M83, Beirut (!!), Dropkick Murphys, The XX, My Morning Jacket, Rise Against, and tons more. Oh, and Skrillex and Snoop Dogg.. (woop, woop). Everything takes place on this island right here, and it's truly legendary Also might be attending Parkenfestivalen, but I am contemplating selling my ticket, as I won it last year and the line up this year just SUCKS. The Prodigy (allright, I guess..), Presidents of the USA, and a few Norwegian semi-ok bands. But it's my local festival, so I guess I have to support it. Last year we had Robyn and Lissie among other really good ones.. And seeing as Lissie is one of my definitive favorite live artists, it was just magical! Anyone else? Anyone coming to Norway? :eyebrows:
Seigmen, really? I was so bummed out when they were announced.. I know, they are pretty good, and their stage show is supposedly great, but the damn festival is just becoming one huge "Back to the 90s"-party. I mean, the Prodigy, PUSA, Seigmen.. Oh well.
Yeah, we're a peace loving people. People who are neighbors to festivals get "neighbor"-pass to the festival, usually a pass for all days, and admittance to "back stage"/ VIP-tent/ something equal. The festivals rely on the neighbors' permission, and no one in their right mind would say no to a FESTIVAL anyways! Win-win.
Total contrast with T in the Park I'm afraid, which has just turned into a nedfest over the fast few years!
Not me. The wife has banned me from going to anymore concerts/festivals that are taking place outside the US.
This is where I'll be come August.. third time I'm going, can't wait.. we're gonna be doing it up proper this year and Ima dance my face off!! XD http://www.shambhalamusicfestival.com/
My Morning Jacket? that's enough info one needs to decide if going to a festival I've never been to one. eesh
Surprised BBC Radio 1's Hackney Weekend hasn't been mentioned. http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/events/e9wmxj/performances
Not really a "festival" but I'm going to see Kiss and Motley Crue. That's a pretty good double bill, and it's outdoors, so...
Work work work, no time for anything remotely fun. Boycotting Parken due to their crappy lineup this year. Blergh. I'd kill to go to Øyafestivalen. Sigh.
