Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron coming to PC! :D

Once again it seems that thanks to the Transformers community campaigning for the game to come to the PC platform Activision finally gave in and said yes there will now be a PC version.

Who says Activision don't listen? Let us just hope the port is worthy one.

 

Since when have activision ports ever been worthy?

The last 2 transformers games were capped at 30 frames...I don't expect much from this.

 

Nice really enjoyed the first cybertron might give it another play soon seemed a bit repetitive but enjoyed it none the less

Not everyone with a PC spends all day moaning about the game being capped at 30fps. I played WfC with the cap in place and still enjoyed the hell out of it.

In the end I'm just happy the game I wanted so badly after WfC is coming to my favourite gaming platform.

 

I liked the game before WfC better...I can't remember it's name now though.

There was a weird gamma issue with it where everything was overbright...never could fix it. Loved the game, even with the cap, but that gamma thing pissed me right off.

I loved the last level with the pyramid.

 

The PS2 is still home to the best Transformers game ever.

 

it would be awesome if they decide to create a new cartoon series based on the WfC series, but one can only dream...

and wasn't there a cap unlocker for WfC, if memory serves me right?

Lame, so digital only for US residents. why, why only the US. It's the friggin Internets and Activision/Blizzard (whtever) released Diablo 3 worldwide why not Transformers.

Also does that mean if you do get the pc retail version then you miss out on the DLC that US pc gamers get?

I find myself getting more and more frustrated with PC gaming everyday.

 

The game is a Steamworks title, all this means is simply that they won't sell the game retail in the US for whatever reason and only rely on digital sources but since it needs Steam the game will likely be the same for all regions.

Just I interpreted it as only the US would have digital download option and the rest of the world would have to settle for retail which i assume would mean that the DLC would be (for PC) US only. The War for Cybertron is not available in my region for digital download let alone retail for the pc.

 

I might have misunderstood, still it is strange that they didn't do a retail release, I wonder what the cause of that decision was.

Maybe they just don't expect the game to sell well enough to justify the costs of printing extra discs but on the other hand there's many whom don't like digital purchases and prefer retail disc ownership or how to call it.

Now that you mention it I am uncertain about DLC as well, I guess one could look through the Steam data and see if there's anything but I don't think it's set up yet aside from the usual placeholder content.

So long as controls are remappable in this one. Then I'll be happy.
I really liked the first one, but playing it is a chore. I never used WSAD in any game, so being forced to use it always, completely throws me off.
