    Hi Folks,

I have a problem in my house regarding wifi. My pc has no issues and sits next to the box, my iPad has no issue as long as it is in range; however my laptop keeps dropping the internet only when my pc is turned on! Can anyone explain and even better offer up a solution? :)

    Some info on the laptop.

    • Acer Aspire Timeline X - 4820T
    • On the sticker it says Acer Nplify 802.11 b/g/n

    • In network devices section of the control panel it says the following
    • Atheros AR8151 PCI-E Gigatbit Ethernet Controller - Driver = 1.0.0.23
    • Broadcom 802.11n Netwoek adapter - Driver = 5.60.350.6 (can be updated)
    • CISCO AnyConnect Virtual Miniport Adapter for Windows x64 (currently disabled)

So, if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this I would appreciate them! :)

    Law.

    Update to the latest driver.

Also which version of Windows are you currently running?

    What router are you using?

    The router is a D-link, DSL-2640R.

I clicked update driver in the control panel and it told me that the most up to date drivers were being used.

It is as though my pc creates interference which causes the laptop to drop connectivity.

I'll have a look around for an ethernet cable and see if I can't hard line my pc in, maybe that'll fix the problem.

Well, seems that there is no conflict when hardlined into the router but my internet does seem slower, which is ironic!

I'd have thought it would be faster if anything!

How many wireless connections does your "router" actually support?
