    and?

if your point had a point, you would have had a point.

I guess you dont know the topic at hand.

    Voltage can rise and fall.
Voltage changes happen at different times, frequencies, for different periods of time with different amplitudes.
A change/delay or external influence to any of these can cause a problem.

Not all problems cause crashes, your PC wouldnt run very well if it wasnt for error detection/correction.

you should ban yourself from this forum for spreading rumours

1st you talkign about ripple, then you post a link about a power supply that exceeds load. you are contradicting yourself

i'm trying to save the person 150 bucks on a purchase of a psu that will not do a damn thing, but you are adamant to force him to buy one

The only thing i can think of a power supply can do with a graphics card is get stuck in 2d clocks because it's drawing less power than needed, so that would be low performance. It certainly would not stutter periodically. In any case he can simply run MSI afterburner software and check if he is getting any voltage or clock drops while he plays, and even then it would more likely to be his gfx card than psu

this is what happens to a psu when it runs 50 watt over limit

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OgKFm-bv5k

it certainly does not stutter or cause bad fps

$150 bucks for a psu in a low end rig? More like half that or even less.

hi guys, plz dont fight, im just trying to verify my rig, thank you for all of your sudgestions =)

ok so after 1 hour of playing grid at ultra res @ 1360x768, the game behaved awsome, no lag no stutters, no crashes, ive went into the LoL forums and found out it might be the league of legends client.

people have complained about bad framerates even with high end machines, so i must say that the psu is not the issue with framerates inestability, by this i dont want to start a flame wars.

im going to test occtp psu benchmark and see the results.

so its a game client issue.

most likely low on ram and slow cpu issue, defrag and fresh os install might help

    yeah, it did,

i dont think its lack of ram it got 4gb
i just installed winxp 2 days ago.

it seems its a client issue many forums users have complained, anyways GRID uses more taxing gpu ussage than LoL.

nah its an intel dg33bu board so oc its impossible i tried with SETFSB but it got really unstable even with a low oc, idk about the video card tho seems high clocked for a 8800gt, its 660 core 950 mem 1650 shader, so i doubt i need more oc that that

jeez... come on guys, less of the flaming please.

And fwiw GPUs have built in ECC as does GDDR5 which will cause a recalculation of any errors, which is why modern GPUs do not cause such frequent driver crashing. When ECC needs to re-process data you do get performance regression.
