    If you have a DD-WRT or TomatoUSB firmware compatible router these things have been available for a long time, even more 'apps' avalible in optware packages.

    Its nice to see this being offered from the factory though, just hope they are not charging for things available for free elsewhere.

    I still find QoS the best feature ever as a techy living with normal housemates. Cap their bandwidth... oh yeah, no more high pings.

    If the cheapest one has a decent built-in antenna(s), it might be an interesting alternative to UniFi... or not?

    At this point spending over $100 on a router that does not support the soon to be standard 802.11ac is just wasting money, if you need a router desperately then get a decent $30 one to tide you over till the new one's launch later this year with 4x-5x the speed and distance.
