I tried everything and from this you can find that nor every card could be unlocked... We didn't find reason why.

I don't think 7870 is good choice... It's only on one stage above 6950.

i5 2500k for sure, I went from a Core 2 Dual Core (Pentium E6300 2.8GHz) to the i5 2400 3.1GHz and my fps in most games that I play doubled/tripled.

Sorry, but I think my Quad much faster then E6300 therefore this comparison is useless...

If your GPU load is only 90% at settings that don't reach 60fps stable (with Vsync) then your GPU is already bottleneck by your CPU. If your GPU load is 99% and your CPU load is 90%, then any GPU upgrade would be severely bottlenecked. GTX 680 would not reach anywhere near its full potential. Strongly recommend upgrading the CPU before the GPU.

Sorry... if GPU load is 90% and CPU load is 90% then which is bottleneck? and if it 80% for CPU and GPU?
then your GPU is already bottleneck by your CPU = GPU is a bottleneck or CPU is a bottleneck?

I'm not entirely sure how you could arrive at those numbers except if your fps is capped by vSync. The GPU should be doing 99% in a demanding scenario (i.e. fps not capped) unless your CPU is bottlenecking it.

bottlenecked by X = X is the bottleneck

    So, please take a look.
Settings in BF3 - Ultra. Driver - default.
    Where is problem?
Back to my first question - what is the best choice?

Yes, the average FPS was on Grand Bazaar - from 35 to 40.
On Tehran Highway - from 38 to 41.

Well the obvious choice would be GPU, but I don't get it because my fps are way higher than that.

    What res are you running?

Ahhhhh; that's why, cuz you're using 1900x1200...that makes more sense. With that res dude you'll be looking at a GPU overhaul.

Btw can you resize your pics to 1280x1024 plze.

    My res is 1900x1200.
For example this is from BF BC:) How many FPS do you have? with same set and same conditions.

Avg about 50-55 fps; (can dip to 40) all ultra 1600x1200

What's your budget? Right now the choices are basically 580/680/7870/7950/7970.

The other option is to buy another 6950 and also upgrade the CPU. Not sure how that works out pricewise compared to a single 7950/680 for example.

6950 same clocks as 6970 does not make it = a 6970 lol

op get an ivy bridge cpu next month.

^Yeah yeah...:p I just got tired of explaining why I could get X fps when every other 6950 gets Y fps... lol

wouldnt it be easier to include clocks in the specs then?

    @ AZONIC[rus]

Good, that screenshot shows 99% GPU usage and ~90% CPU usage. Your CPU is just fast enough to drive your GPU to its full potential in BF3, thus any GPU upgrade would be severely bottlenecked by the CPU. Back to my original recommendation: Z77 chipset motherboard and Ivy Bridge 3570K next month.

    Yeah maybe if they fit...

    Me dude I'd be breaking a tradition..last Intel I owned was a 466 Celeron. Absolute rocketship of a rig...lol
Edit never mind thought tou were talking to me..

It'll only be bottlenecked if he goes SLI/CF, his cpu could still push one card at that res.

The GPU is already maxed out so the only way he can get more fps is by upgrading the GPU...or going CF + better CPU...

I would answer your question in two ways.

    1) For gaming, I believe I read bf3 is cpu limited-a new cpu will have much more work per clock cycle.(with his cpu#90% i am afraid a second vid card will overwhelm the cpu)

2)For overall use, an ssd will make the biggest performance improvement you can "feel". It will start/shutdown and load programs/game levels at a much higher rate. It will, however, have no influence on fps.

    The screenshot disproves that.

Completely untrue. A faster CPU will increase FPS regardless of whether the GPU is fully utilized because not all computation during gaming is done by the GPU. A fair bit is done by the CPU as well.
