I have a HIS 5970x2 , so here are my comments for these drivers AMD Catalyst 12.4 OpenCL 1.2 (8.960.0 March 15)

The good thing is that all the games I Am playing are working , BF3 , WoW , Skyrim
With the previous 8.960 I couldn't launch BF3.(crashing on desktop)..

    Some weird Problems......
    ------------------------------
    1. Vertical Sync is not working with these drivers...even if I forced to use Vsync
    2. At first time when I launched a game it took me straight to windows desktop , like ALT-Tab , i moved back to game and then again back to desktop , after a while it stop
    3. I had to launch 3 Times BF3 , it was freezing and intro for some reason.... after three end tasks it start again without any problems.....

Anyway I am back to AMD Catalyst 12.x (8.950.5 February 24) are much better than this for me.....

    Cheers......

Um, complete noob question... what benefits are there of having OpenCL 1.2 and WDDM 1.2 in real terms? Better performance or do games have to be specifically programmed to utilise them?

Any other obvious benefits from these without actually testing them? By that I mean, other features than the above ones.

    If it helps, I'm using a 5850 and 5970 on Win7x64, 8.50.5 Feb 24 :)

I have the same problem as Del_boy, i can download the linux version but i have a:

"We apologize, but the page you requested is unavailable. It may be temporarily offline due to maintenance, or it may not exist."

In the windows version.... i'll try with a proxy.

Update: I'm downloading now using a proxy.... seems to be a regional problem.

    Where u from Del_boy?

    Yep tried that, didn't work.

Do you know what the file was? Or does anyone know of a .dll .cfg fix.

But you can come up with enough money for a computer like yours and pay the electricity bills and all good enough huh?

This excuse got old the first time it was used.

    Buy the game.

Portal 2 file integrity check occurred for all drivers after 11.11rc for me. Steam downloads a 18.5Mb file but it still crashes every time. Sigh.

You probably need to run ipconfig /flushdns in command prompt.

Make sure you did a clean install.

If you used /XCL with AB then run /RCL before uninstalling.
Boot straight to Safe Mode after uninstalling.
Go to Device Manager, uninstall Standard VGA.
Run Driver Sweeper (3.2.0); do not reboot.
    Refresh Device Manager, reboot.

I have never installed a set in top of an existing one, and that has served me well.
If you need to OC with AB, you can just copy atipdl64.dll to System32 and atipdlxx.dll to SysWOW64; you can extract them from 12.1 WHQL.
If they're still in .dl_ file type, just use 'Extract Here' on those two files with any of your archiver programs (e.g 7-Zip) in order to properly 'convert' them to working .dll files.

In any case, opening browser with hardware-acceleration support (like IE9 and FF) most likely will also make your clock stays in 3D mode.
Try to minimize the browser window and wait a bit.
If everything's working normally then the clocks should go back to idle clocks.

    Bull-fecking-sh!t.
I got that game for $7.49 on a Steam sale.

Using these drivers and any drivers past 12.1 on my laptop with 6650m freezes my computer when I remove the power cable. Anyone else have this problem?

Skyrim Pixel corruption seems to be fixed (been present in most if not all drivers since 12.1)
BF3 seems to run smoother (may be a placebo effect)

    So far so good.
