These drivers contain beta support for OpenCL 1.2, and are released as 'developer' drivers, thats why :) Its still perfectly valid to use, like any other prereleased driver.

I cannot get 3d settings or overdrive to work.. so CCC is useless I suppose. I installed the driver through the device manager and use Afterburner to set power to 20% and the clocks.

Thanx, do these have the MLAA same optimisation as 8.95.5?

These drivers are a miss for me. Lower frames and smoothness in BF3 and Tribes ascend.

Rolling back to Feb 14 8.96

How run Skyrim with this driver?

How are you reading clock speeds?

I noticed that if I use GPU-Z, it would almost always report my max clock speeds as current clocks for whatever reason (whether nothing was running, or if I had flash player content open), yet GPU Caps Viewer correctly reported my clock speed

You can also use Afterburner (or most other third party OC-ing utility) to read current clocks.

In any case, like Mustang said, 8.960 series have a bug on its PowerPlay; clocks tend to get stuck at 3D clocks on idle.

    Thanks for sharing!
Battlefield 3 works nice with them, though Skyrim seems unchanged compared to the 8.95.5, at least I am still experiencing that flickering and get no FPS boost.
Did an exaggerated fresh install: Deinstalation of all AMD software and CAPs, reboot, ATIman, reboot twice, Safemode: Driver Sweeper and deinstalling in the device-manager deleting the driver for the cards, last reboot, new drivers installed flawlessy. Yet no diffrence :p

I'm really positive about these as the previous 8.96 set showed a noticeable gain in performance in most games I tested, BF3, GTA4, AC Revelations to name a few

Correct, my clocks are stuck at 3D graphic and voltage settings. :/

I registered just to post this. This is the replacement I had been looking for over hwinfo! No scan at start required, just works. The graphs are just perfect while I tweak my cooling.

The gadget is very usable as well.

    Great find. Thanks.

    Nice driver.
29K in Vantage on default. Best score for me. http://3dmark.com/3dmv/3974606
Image corruption in Skyrim is still present, but this is flickering on objects which are far :nerd:
