On a PC running Windows XP or Windows Vista, a third-party program is required to convert an ISO file into installable media—and DVD burning software often includes this capability. One option is the USB/DVD download tool provided by the Microsoft Store. You can also download Windows 8 Consumer Preview Setup, which includes tools that allow you to create a DVD or USB flash drive from an ISO file (Windows Vista or Windows 7 required). That program keeps telling me that my CPU does not meet the requirements(my CPU is an i5 650 that I set back to default speeds). Downloaded the ISO instead. Now, I'm just debating on whether or not to install over my Win7 or use a separate drive. Only reason I'm considering installing it over my current Win7 is because I've been thinking of doing a re-install anyways (I didn't do a re-install when I changed out my motherboard).
this sh#t have problems with recon 3d when without driver i can choose 192000 hz 24 bit with drivers 48000 hz 32/24 bit :bang:c1: :stewpid:
What do I need to do in order to have this as a 2nd OS alongside my Windows7? I do not want to have it replacing windows 7. I have the ISO version
I believe all you need to do is install it on a different partition/HDD and youll dual boot at POST edit: I dont see an option to select a different partition than C: Any way to select a different one?
you're gonna have to create a new one before you go about doing the install. in the iso, should be a link for "drive options" should be able to do it there
I have 3 ssds and a 1GB hdd split in 2 partitions. Im planning on installing it on one of my ssds. Ill try looking in the ISO and see if I can find the drive option edit: Im not seeing any link, I opened the iso with daemon tools.
C is the default drive letter assigned to the primary partition. You can't select the partition by drive letter because the partition does not store a drive letter assignment. The drive letter is assigned by the OS.
When you "boot" from the DVD, you get to choose upgrade or manual install. Choose the manual install option, then you can select a drive.
I got my pc to boot from my USB and selected the drive I wanted, but it said it ran into an error on collecting data...Im not gonna go thru the install again, Ill just wait for w8 to come out on retail.
