^It would be more helpful to post a screenie of the problem, not one of a normal working system.....

Did you apply the latest patch from Microsoft for the AMD FX CPUs?

i don't doubt it haha. That's the whole reason its getting such bad reviews was because the scheduling was crap. At least the main reason.

The problem with scheduling is that Windows reads the cores "in order"....and AMD says they should be scheduled "out of order". Basically....Windows sees: 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8.....and AMD says they should be assigned 0 2 4 6 8 1 3 5 7. That way, each "module" is assigned a thread before any module is assigned a second thread. So, if 4 threads are run, each module will run 1 thread as opposed to 2 modules running 2 threads and 2 modules being idle.

The problem isn't Windows....it's the architecture itself. AMD is struggling with processor sales....and admitting that they screwed up the architecture, would make the sales problems worse. Better for them to blame MS....

bro you need to run benchmarks before and after applying the patch. from what I read the patch increased some performance in some things and decreased performance in others. nothing major a few % at best

They aren't that bad in multithread apps....but overall not what people expected...

Course, it didn't help that AMD fanboys hyped up BD release like it was the second coming of Athlon......

Having an Intel processor, and posting facts...doesn't make someone an Intel fanboy. Fact is, the performance of Bulldozer is horrendous compared to what AMD's Marketing department led people to believe. Even compared to PhenomII, the "Bulldozer" architecture is a disgrace.... Longer Pipelines....lower IPC.....AMD saw Intel fail to make it work. Why exactly did they take the same approach to Bulldozer, that Intel did with NetBurst? It didn't work for Intel....wtf would AMD believe they could make it work? The K7 architecture was the most efficient architecture AMD ever came up with....yet, since they've done nothing but go backwards.

Thats not being intel fan boy. Its just stating the facts. Its also true that every review out there says BD was a flunk. dont get mad because you bought one of them. :3eyes:
