Nothing beets going through the registry manually. All those uninstallers leave registry enteries behind.

Cool, with this drivers i have all video options and Overdrive again on CCC (and voltage regulation on MSI Afterburner again too)

oc within bios limits set by AMD is ok. Unofficial overclocking mode in Afterburner is a no go for me with this driver.

Uninstall the driver through catalyst manager, then use atiman uninstaller 6.3.1 or whatever that newest version is, then install the Supersampling (RC1?) driver from late january. Then do an upgrade install back to this driver, and you'll have your Trixx and Afterburner working again.

Do not install this driver clean by uninstalling previous drivers (catalyst manager or atiman) or you will have the ULP 3d clock problem again.

The reason your AB isn't working is because the 3D clocks become the low power clocks (you can verify that in gpu-z), which isn't supposed to happen.

It's probably also worth noting that your videocard is stuck running in PCI-e 1.1 mode, a common problem with these new cards. I can't recall what the best fix is but I'm sure someone will chime in :)

Sobek : thats ok, because your card is running in low power 2d mode, then it switches to x16 1.1 or x8 1.1, depends on which PCIe slot you have card installed.
Try to run some benchmark in windowed mode and have GPU-Z still opened, it should switch to full PCIe speed. Problem would be if it stays at x1 mode, all the time.

I couldn't get AB to work by upgrading (I first did a clean install of these and AB just showed 0 on GPU and VIDRAM, then I uninstalled these, reinstalled previous driver and then installed these over the others, same thing).

Then I checked the settings in AB and changed Enable Low-level hardware access from Kernel to User mode, and that fixed the overclocking with AB issue.

Question: what's that command-prompt installer doing that shows up the first time you reboot after installing these????

Probably that browser plug in. I didn't get it when I unchecked it.

Rolling back. With these I keep getting "AMD Graphic driver stopped working" (or similar message) in SWTOR.

Its not, thats in low power mode, if you click on the blue ? it tells you that, and also lets you start a render test to show you, as when you start the test, you'll see it change from 1.1 to 16x, indicating its gone into full power mode, well mine does anyway :p

Should I use 12.1 cap 3 or custom caps or no caps. Or should I just test my self.

My PCI-E speeds don't go to 2.0, they go to 3.0. What's wrong?

Nothing's wrong. Your board is a X79 platform with PCI-E 3.0 expantion slots.
