AMD Catalyst 12.1 "Cape Verde" (8.932.2 February 6) [Win7/Vista - All Cards]

ok i`m still keeping the january 17th release, been testing a whole bunch of sets with mw3 and no other driver can match the performance of the january 17th. fps are doubled in my tests compared to every other driver. seems kind of weird but that`s what i can see so far. i`m confused but happy with the january 17th release

 

FPS Doubled in MW3?
I'm capped at 90FPS with either driver in MW3 full maxed 4xaa and i actually disabled X-fire for MW3 since im still capped at 90FPS with single card.
I don't see how can you get double since 10 yrs old engine should run maxed on single 5870.
And this is single 30" 2560x1600.

 

my fault.. meant min fps not max fps... but that`s what confuses me too. i`ve been loading a savegame in sp and i were comparing the different drivers. most drivers gave me at a certain scene very poor 20fps while the january 17th one gave me nearly 50fps. just to mention resolution was 1920x1200 whith everything maxed out, native setting and 4xaa while supersampling was enabled and high qualitiy af. i`m not sure about what the problem is with other drivers... maybe my system just simply doesn`t like them?!?

I have laptop with HD 4570 512Mb and I think that this is the best driver i've installed. i don't know how many fsp i gaind in each game but i really feel playing ;D

my favorite games are: BF3, Gta4 "with tweaks of course", MW3, Crysis 2, Dirt3, NFS the Run and shift 2 and they are all playable with this driver.

is anyone using ATIMAN's Uninstaller? just wondering if its better/safer than driver sweeper.

 

the darkenss II and warhammer 40k space marine still play like crap with these drivers. i guess i will have to wait until amd releases something official for the 7970.
