    Corsair XMS3 DDR3-1333 8GB dual channel kit
    2 dimms of 4gb
    9-9-9-24 (2N) @ 1.50v

What do I need to do to get it run at DDR3-1600?

    What I did was:
    10-10-10-27 (2N) 1.50v
I changed ratio to DDR3-1600 (this is not bclk overclocking)
    MEMTEST+ error

    What I am now trying:
    increased DRAM voltage: 1.60v
    increased VTT voltage to 1.10v

Am I doing it right or wrong? Or should I try loosening timings a lot more?
to eg 11-11-11-30 (2N) or something?

vtt is not going to need an increase at all probably. those are some pretty loose timings your are trying. my ram runs at 7-8-7-24 1t ddr 1600. I can tell you now you may have to loosen up the sub timings not just the 4 main. you loosen up some timings too much you can get worse or the same bandwidth 1333 vs 1600. not worth all that trouble imo for the next to nothing improvement. OR JUST sell them sticks and buy a pair of 1600, or 1866 or 2133 ram and SET THE XMP PROFILE.

    I wouldn't bother OCing the ram - it's quite a lot from 1333 to 1600.
If the RAM doesn't support 1600mhz (look in CPUID) I wouldn't try to get there. TK4ever is right and youre losing performance already using the specified timings.
