Well, Skyboost is more of a workaround and Bethesda is able to modify the necessary files directly. So the patch should always give the better performance now.
But still, I wouldn't praise Bethesda for this, after all they forgot to optimize it in the first place. If it wasn't for the mods they would have never changed anything.

I was very impressed when a NPC came up to me and returned an item that I dropped (on purpose) on the other side of town. I didn't realize they could do that!

Little touches like that make for a wonderful game:)

Yeah kudos but don't you think it's a little bit unfair paying a full price and be a beta tester for a game made by people who don't know what "debugging" means? :D

They needed tesval and skyboost to realize that their engine was just a little bit bugged?

I agree they messed up bigtime and there's more work for them ahead, but they fixed it.
The game was never unplayable, for me at least. It just didn't run very well.
And there was no other game in 2011 with as much content per dollar. So I'm not mad :D

Well I have to say: I've had three crashes since the beta patch. That's one per hour, where before It crashed very rarely.

Sounds like you still have Skyboost files in your root folder. Ask me how I know.

Here's my root folder. You can use it to compare. I lost track of what was what in mine, so I just deleted the .exe, .cfg...basically everything that wasn't in a folder and re-validated them with Steam.

If you used Skyboost you also should remove the dinput8.dll file as well.

Is it me or is Skyrim Nexus going from bad to worse?

Getting a lot of 502 Bad Gateway errors lately, also browsing the site became a true pain. It's like working with a clean installed windows without Video Drivers, everything is really slow when scrolling up and down.

It only happens on that site so it's not my system.
