Someone offered me 2 of those cards for my GTX460.

I was thinking going crossfire anyway.

I know this isnt gonna be a upgrade, but it should give more FPS then one GTX460 right?

    Should i take hes offer?

I've got a similar system and I'm happy with m 5770's. The only problem is I wish they had more RAM. 1 gig just isn't enough anymore.

The 5770s would be faster in games that support x-fire. Its a good trade but some games use more than 1GB vram for ultra settings at 1080.

I understand why people choose multi card setups, but sometimes the headache involved with them is not worth it.

Just go into overdrive and set them to the same clocks and they'll both max out the same.

5770's in CFX are comparable to a single 5870 performance wise. They scale really well and I've been happy with mine since I got them.

One bummer is having to wait for application profiles to come out sometimes in order to achieve maximum performance. But more often than not you can get games working at launch by using RadeonPRO and forcing a different games profile or alternate frame rendering.

A single 460 is definitely faster than a single 5770. It is currently a $145-165 dollar card. The 5770s last time I checked were going for $110-125 each.

So basically you'll be trading a $145 card for $200~ worth of cards.

Seeing as how even a HD 5830 can outperform a GTX 460 in most things, and CFX 5770's performing +/- 5% within the speed of a HD 5870. I'd say it's a very good trade.
