Availability in January? They had 5 in stock and they are all gone now. The thread is here: http://www.thelab.gr/kartes-grafikon/sapphire-hd7970-protes-entyposeis-metriseis-103617.html Amazing that the bankrupted Greece got the cards retail first EXCLUSIVELY in the WHOLE WORLD.
Greece might be bankrupt, doesn't mean their business sector is. Maybe it was just a site error anyway.
what do you mean site error? From where the guys got it? They didnt show up in the stores webpage. Phone orders only. Look the thread for more benchs and photos. And drool cause you have to wait 10 days to get
Plenty of them in stock over here in the UK now, just can't be put up till the 9th, as under NDA, which im guessing that place in Greece has broken, wish i lived there, could have had one now EDIT: Just seen in that thread, just over 37fps at my res in Heaven, with the tess. at extreme, im gona see what my 6970 gets EDIT: Just over 29.
If AMD has some retail availability on January the 9th, it has already send the first batch of cards in stores in many places over the world. The fact that western countries are waiting for January the 9th to start listing and selling them, doesn't mean that they got them after Greece. There just was an excited guy that got one of these and pictured it. In fact, most hardware parts arrive here quite some months later and you need to use ebay if you want them at lanch
Yikes, some are up to £530 apparently. £450inc VAT is fair enough considering that including tax it will be around $600 in the US anyway. Think it will be too rich for many AMD users though, so not sure how this is going to work out for them.
has any one notice the stock clock of this card? is well higher than 925/1375 of stock reviewed cards or is it that gpu-z is not recognising properly the stock clocks?
