    Nope :\ that's odd.
Drivers have been working great so far, I noticed it's more stable when I push my clock speeds a little more.

do 290.53 still have the no back to 2D profile bug as the 290.36??

EDIT: **** sake yes they still have it... i'm stuck on desktop with full 3D mode profile... srsly that's stupid.

this driver giving me BSODs. 1st time with a nvidia driver bsod ...

On Thu 22/Thu/2011 11:59:06 AM GMT your computer crashed
    crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\122211-28484-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: nvlddmkm.sys (nvlddmkm+0x322A76)
    Bugcheck code: 0x7F (0x8, 0x80050031, 0x6F8, 0xFFFFF8800F53FA76)
    Error: UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP
    file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\nvlddmkm.sys
product: NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 290.53
    company: NVIDIA Corporation
description: NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 290.53
Bug check description: This bug check indicates that the Intel CPU generated a trap and the kernel failed to catch this trap.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: nvlddmkm.sys (NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 290.53 , NVIDIA Corporation).
Google query: nvlddmkm.sys NVIDIA Corporation UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP

    Any ideas pls? thx

Looks like a CPU error led to the graphics driver crashing from the description.

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff559244(v=vs.85).aspx

This link here points to faulty memory or hardware. Are you sure your CPU is getting enough juice? Older CPUs tend to become less efficient over time from what I've read resulting in previous stable overclocks becoming unstable.

Thx alot Darren Hodgson , yes i have Q6600@3.0 and giving more voltage than normal already 1.35 1.36, drops to 1.32 1.33 at load. GPU at default, checked rams no errors. is this can be caused by using "FPS Limiter" at nvidiainspector also? i remember now i used it at my games now to see how it works and forgot to close it. thx again Darren Hodgson

Same here, in DarkTower i use to get 72-75fps, now with 290.59; 62fps or in 2nd run with threaded opt.-on and triple buffer-on; 68fps.

You might want to try this trick :)

Got to Justcause 2 profile and enable all 3:

    -prefer max. performance
    -threaded optimization - on
    -triple buffer - on

Always have motherboard drivers up to date :
intel chipset inf for intel or southbridge drivers for amd, usb 3.0, realtek sound, bios etc... don't know if it improves perfs but needed.

I presume that is in response to my question; I always install the motherboard drivers immediately after the graphics drivers.

    My motherboard drivers are up-to-date.

Coincidentally, I just downloaded the 9.3.0.1019 WHQL this morning.

I have v9.2.3.1016 from July/August. I haven't been able to find anything newer.

@Helpful - v10.8.0.1003 is the latest version of Intel's Rapid Storage Technology drivers not Intel X58 etc chipsets.

Because the motherboard drivers essentially tell the chipset how to communicate with other peripheral devices.

Is anyone experience the Bluescreens when switching from one screen to nvidia surround? I have 4 monitors hooked up to my system. I sometimes play on 1 screen with some games and then switch to my 3 screen setup for surround stuff. I had this same eissue with the previous 290 betas.

When I switch from one screen to 3 screen I get a bluescreen. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

If i unhook my 4th monitor the drivers will go into surround mode correctly. But, if I plug in the 4th monitor while the system is configured in Surround mode i get an instant bluescreen as the monitor is recognized.
