I have read all 8 pages of the thread. Either I missed it (searching the forums hasn't helped) or the answer I'm looking for isn't posted.

Is it that hard to answer my question, or post a link to the answer?

    8.93 18 nov beats the 12.1 preview in 17 of 20 tests.

At least thats what this helpfull fellow claims.
    http://benchmark3d.com/am...-preview-driver-benchmark
Only Batman DX11, Saints Row DX9 and COD MW3 run better on 12.1 preview

    some overall benchresults:
    11.12 Beta 18 Nov 100 %
    11.11 WHQL 95.2 %
    11.11a Performance Driver 99.1 %
    11.11b Performance Driver 97.6 %
    11.11c Performance Driver 95.8%
    11.12 Beta 22 Nov 96.5 %
    11.12 Beta 29 Nov 96.2 %
    11.12 Beta 03 Dec 96.2 %

11.10 whql appears to be the best driver for Skyrim according to the benchmarksite. Well...have it your way :)

Not getting full GPU usage in BF3 with these drivers... weird... 1st GPU is at around 99%, while the second averages about 97%, sometimes dips to 96 even 95... Never happend before... Im using these cuz its said they are the fastest for BF3... 12.1 suck... Im thinking something after the new patch made the game run a bit slower... maybe im wrong

And i thought getting above 90% usage meant your GPU is being fully utilised...:3eyes:

Im getting a glitch with these drivers when I force AA in NBA 2k12... It used to work fine but now whenever I do it I get MASSIVE screen tearing (not like vsync issues) but I mean like there are tearing artifacts when the game loads up, it doesnt happen when I dont force AA...

Read all the pages and started downloading. Unsure if I know what I'm getting myself into. I've had major driver issues with 11.13 and 12.1 preview.
Should I use this for my Radeon 6990M?

I'm running a 6970m Crossfire setup which is pretty much the same as the 6990m, and I have no bigger issues with the 12.1 preview which I'm using for Skyrim. For BF3 only I would install this 8.93 November18 again. It was by far the best. So it should work with your card too!

Edit: Make sure you get completely rid of previous driver files first using Driver Sweeper in safe-mode.

My procedure to install a new driver:
    1.) Deinstall any CAP's, don't reboot yet
2.) Express-deinstall all AMD software in the Windows programs and software section
    3.) Reboot to Safe Mode
    4.) Driver Sweeper
5.) Deinstall both GPU's in the Windows Device Manager, and check the Box where it says "Delete driver too"
    6.) Reboot normally
7.) OPTIONAL: I don't know if you have to do that too, but before I install the new driver I first have to install the manufacturer-driver from the CD, though they are outdated by a year. If I installed the new driver on top of nothing, it doesn't detect my GPU's. Reboot after the installation.
8.) Finally install the new Driver. It will overwrite your manufacturer ones and after another Reboot everything works fine.
    9.) Install any new CAP's.

Btw don't try the 11.11 series since every single one of them gave the majority of Mobility Card users a Bluescreen on installation.

Hmm. Skyrim is an issue for me with 12.1, and it used to run excellent prior to me installing 11.12 and 12.1. SWTOR as well has severely dropped performance-wise after 11.12 and 12.1 I'll try this one and see!
    Thanks for answering!

Thanks, that list added a few points to my procedure.
What caps do you recommend? I'm new to all this AMD stuff, well to be honest, gaming computers in general :)

As for the CAPs it depends what games you play, but I guess you can't be wrong with the newest ones! I always use asder00's Custom CAP's. He imports every new CAP from AMD in his ones, and he adds improvements to existing profiles by himself. And yeah when I got myself that gaming notebook I first was confused too, its not that easy with all that drivers and the installement of those. But after a while and some rageing you learn quickly how to install drivers properly :)
