Hello I'm trying to overclock my Zotac GTX 560 Ti(non OC) and have run into a problem. I'm overclocking by using MSI Afterburner and my last working clock were at 900 mhz on the core and 2100 on the memory clock. Voltage at 1.05. Now the problem comes when I try to increase it any further. 10-15 minutes into a game and I get a No Signal on my monitor followed by a black screen. The game continues in the background and the computer has not locked itself up, save the black screen. I've tried to up the voltage all the way to 1.1 with same results. This was done with the 290.36 Nvidia Beta driver. I've tried different games with similar results as well as Futuremark 11 and Heaven. Now I'm begining to wonder if it's a bad GPU and simply won't overclock. Thanks in advance Oh and my specs are: Zotac GTX 560 Ti 8 GB Corsair Vengeance Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 Phenom II X6 1100T 700W Cooler Master Silent Pro Win Vista SP2
I couldn't push mine further than 910 but I can't up my voltage. Lots of people are reporting problems with Zotac's 560 Bios's. Checkout this forum on their own website. http://www.zotacusa.com/forum/topic/5155-bios-gtx-560-and-up/ Mine also came from Zotac.
Hmmm I guess this will be my first and last Zotac card then. Tried playing some more with voltage with the same result. I think I found the culprit though, it seems the driver is crashing right before the screen turns black. But I've tried several drivers now without luck. At the moment I'm sitting on 900 core and 2100 Memory clock and I feel it's still not 100% stable. Just crashed recently at those clocks while trying to load GPU-Z :/
To be honest the 560 Ti isnt a great card for overclocking..Ive got the OC gigabyte which comes in at 900mhz as standard..Its also very hard to overclock even with 1.1 v as standard. But why dont you RMA the card and say its faulty..This is my 2nd gtx 560 from gigabyte after the 1st one wouldnt play bf3 as it would crash at 100% gpu. Got a replacement and now plays bf3 and this is before all the updates..
I get my Asus 560Ti Direct CU II 830Mhz model up to 985 and 2150 with the mV at 1065. Stable as a rock on BF3 with my Q6600 at 3.8Ghz
doubt its card i had problems oc'ing my zotac also, then i realised there was lots of TDR errors even at stock clocks disabled gpu acceleration for browsers and its been nice ever since my bios came with odd 1.025 default voltage shown in windows u propably need bit more juice for +900mhz, i had it on 1.076
i have asus gtx 560 ti dc2 top (stock at 900mhz) i was able to get it up to 975mhz @ 1.0v. with "stock" 900mhz runs fine even at 0.95v but for more than 975mhz i would need a lot more volts.. 1000mhz not stable at 1.05v but ram only go up from "stock" 2100mhz to 2120....
