I fail to see the issue here.
The screenshots show that Skyrim on PC looks much more detailed then the console counterparts. Yes the game is not groundbreaking visually and it's not going to bring modern hardware to it's knees... but does that really matter?

The game is insanely fun and unbelievably addictive. This constant hangup on Skyrim's visuals is becoming such a tried argument.
As if visuals are the only thing that make a game great. Yes they are a part of it, but they are not the only thing. Skyrim is a good looking game, still rough around the edges... and not the revolution some may have been expecting. But it's still a damn good looking game, and a far more fun game to play.

Honestly, BF3 looks amazing... but it's boring as hell. I'd much rather play Skyrim and have fun then play BF3 and have something pretty to look at.

Yes, neither maximizes PC GPU potential. But to pretend like there isn't a difference in the above would be...absurd. The PS3 one looks like total ass. Absolute garbage, to be frank. The PC one is more than acceptable.

None of those games meet the scale of Skyrim. Crysis was just wide tube, the actual levels were really small, but it fools you really well into believing you're on a gigantic island.
Dark Messiah, another tube compared to Skyrim.

And NW 2? You really think it looks as good as Skyrim or even close?

Oh please! None of those games you mentioned come even remotely close to the scale and scope of Skyrim. Sure, Crysis might look better in some areas, but it sure as hell doesn't offer all the varied details that Skyrim has.

Honestly, with some tweaks and mods, Skyrim is the game that impressed me the most graphically. Hate all you want...

lol at people saying stock oblivion and skyrim look the same. It took oblivion years of mods to look nearly as good and still no dynamic shadows.

Ok, first off the PS3/360 versions don't look like that!

It's because you set your LCD to a none native resolution.....That makes it look blurry!

I seen the console versions and they don't look like that at all...

PC gaming is dying because of morons.
The only bad thing in Skyrim is the UI.

If ppl spent more time playing the game then actually comparing frame for frame screen shots on different platforms then it wouldn't make a diff what platform you play on.
The whole pc vs console for a multi platform games is just some wanker trying to justify their expense of hardware whether it be bang for buck or spare no expense.
Get over it and play the game and be done with it.

Edit: I really can't see why this topic needed another Skyrim thread to be started.

I Hope the Mods come out with a better UI something like two worlds 2.
But lets not take out that 3D view mode and quick favorite option.

It's not really fair to compare the two anyways.

Skyrim is a complete sandbox world, where everything except cities and dungeons are constantly loading, while Crysis has some pretty massive maps there's still less to render and load at one time. For how Skyrim looks vanilla and how it runs, it's actually a pretty decent port. I play the game high-ultra settings getting from 40-60fps constant at 720p, and I gotta say it still looks pretty great. Haven't even tweaked or modded it yet. :D
