    @ Anth Seebel

    if you have perf. issues then lower this value

    [LOD]
    fLODFadeOutMultActors=12.0000
    fLODFadeOutMultItems=15.0000 <<<<<<< you mixed it with multi objects..swap them
    fLODFadeOutMultObjects=8.0000
    fLODFadeOutMultSkyCell=1.0000

    also lower iBlurDeferredShadowMask=2 to max 2 -3

    what's your iShadowMapResolution= set at?

    try it like so

    iActorShadowCountInt=5
    iActorShadowCountExt=2
    fSpecularLODStartFade=2000.0000
    fLightLODStartFade=3000.0000
    fShadowLODStartFade=400.0000
    iShadowFilter=3
    iBlurDeferredShadowMask=2

    fInteriorShadowDistance=3000.0000
    fShadowDistance=4000.0000
    iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=2048
    iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=4096

    iShadowSplitCount=2
    iMultiSample=4
    iShadowMapResolution=3072 or 4096 (but beware, big fps hit outside at 4096)
    fShadowBiasScale=0.3000
    iShadowMaskQuarter=4
    iShadowMode=4

    Tried those settings and it didn't change anything at least when it comes to that shadow problem in Breezehome.

    So all those exact values didnt do anything?

    that what you have now is on avg. (perf. quality) and won't fix that lower shadow detail..

    try like so, just overwrite
    btw, i lowerd 2-3 values, because of higher ShadowMaps :nerd:

    Tried both the higher and lower number settings still have that in Breezehome but only there so far. tho interesting I got higher fps from either of those settings at least when I loaded a different save.

    My old settings 44-45, your changed lower value 47-48, and changed higher value 50-51. Given I hadn't ran around to see the difference that was just from a stand still load position of where I left off.

    I had to travel back and make a new save so the position is different then the first but here is a pic of the same spot in Breezehome but with your higher value settings.

    I think i know why, its because of shadowdistance

    your default was at 6000.0000

    My 1st suggestion before i saw your cfg., 4000.0000
    2nd suggestion, 4700.0000

    Im also using 4000.0000 and its a nice compromise between perf./visual distance.

    Hm idk of anything else, maybe try shadowfilter=4 instead of 3 and lower shadow LOD to 0.1000 instead of 0.3000

    edit: ah you're using Q6600, then definitely keep shadowdistance at 4000-4500.0000 max.

    I had it at 6000 because I had thought at least after reading and looking at the comparison pics from the geforce guide that higher number may increase the visual distance of the shadows but made them poorer in quality. Thus I was thinking less but higher quality would be more demanding then more of less quality.

    Tried changing just those two to those values still there, someone else mention that it happens to them too. If you have Breezehome and upgraded maybe you could check to see if it's there for you on your settings, since you never said it was or wasn't there for you I don't know if it's my install of the game that causes it or just a existing bug.

    Would try to get more then 3.3 out of the CPU but my mobo isn't a great ocer it's taking more then most just to get 3.3 stable, won't be able to get new cpu/mobo for awhile this beats the old dual core I had at least lol.

    does anyone else have objects flying of shelves and causing npc and myself damage? It happens everywhere, shops dungeons etc? It also makes alot of noise and is quite distracting.

    Happens in all games that use havoc physics but it's extra annoying in FO/TES games. It can happen to carts and corpses too.

    Same problem here man. But thats the least of my issues. I have had about 30 crashes to desktop. Sometimes when enter a new area through a door, certain items lose their graphic completely. Like certain Armor.

    For instance, Elven Gilded armor will be a shaped pink glossy image, like the armor is coated in Pepto Bismol. But Regular Elven light Armor, the same graphic, is fine.

    This happens with trees too, they will either turn pink or blue...

    290.36 didn't really make a difference in performance. Let's hope the Patch does.

    Well, on 1.2 patch change notes, there's nothing indicating a performance updates on PC... :bang:

    It's too early for hope for a major patch. I saw the notes and there was nothing I could give a hoot about.

    You are missing one important shadow setting that will solve your Breezehome issue, you need to change this line to the following:

    iBlurDeferredShadowMask=32

    Couple that with the high res shadows:

    iShadowMapResolution=4096

    And you're all set :banana:

    @eiren It's not missing it had been changed but never to such a high number but I tested that value.

    It did make it look better because it was blurred or softened but it was still there just not as noticeable. If you look between the two you can notice it more since it moves as the light from the fireplace moves.

    that's a recipe for a good stutter in caves. I do't recommended it, I used it. Makes some caves stutter bad.
