I started to order some LME 49990 til i saw they was soic.

Edit: I forgot I had some OPA227AP's, Trying them out in the Buffers with the same LME49720NA's in the I/Vs. While using OPA2111AM in my Fiio E9. So far I like it but I need to give it more of a listen, as I went on a op-amp rolling spree early this moring. I tried the combo with the LT1364CNA8 in my Fiio E9, it was a bad idea. The highs was detailed but was Bright or shrill I just know I couldnt take it with that combo.

..yep that is becoming more and more common. DIP8's are being phased out it would seem.

Out of all of my op-amps I have I dont have any thing that will work as a alt for the LME49710NAs til the ones i order come. I dont know when that will be. How bad would it be if I just temp put 2 more pair of LME 49720NAs in the 2x buffers on the X-Fi HD.

I've been switching between lme49720 and lme49990 on my ST and I can't hear any difference between them, guess my speaker aren't revealing enough or my hearings not that good.

    What do you mean?
The buffers on the HD are single channel. Use a 720 and you will fry the amp and possible some of the circuitry.

The 720 are not a drop in replacement for 710 opamp.

IIRC, the original buffers are LME49710NA chips....just put the stock chips back in.

The reason I asked because one of my LME 49710NA pins got damaged, I was looking for a alt that I could use til the LME49710NAs I ordered get posted and shipped. Tho I glad i didnt actually do that because I def dont wanna fry my fiio e9.

I did try other single channel opamps in the buffers with the LME 49720NAs in the I/v. But the results was the same too Bright Highs and/or too sharp Highs. The Current 2x OPA2137PA and 2x LT1363CN8 is working good but the highs are still too bright. I was hoping the OPA2111AM in my Fiio E9 would help tone it down. it did a bit.

I do have LT1028ACN8,LT1057ACN8,1057CN8,OPA2111KP,OPA228s,OPA2277, and a couple of more that I cant think off the top of my head. OPA227s which was one of the too bright combos with the LME49720NAs.

I mainly looking for a op-amp that sound similar or close enough to the LME49710NAs that I can use til they ship them to me.

Tho I am still waiting for linear to ship off the LT1022s, and a couple of others that i don't remember to me.

What about the stock LME49710NA....they are the same version but in DIP8's.

Well if you want to send me over some LME49710HA's I can make you up a new one to match the one you already have.

I have no LME49710HA's so if you want me to build you one, send some over.
Aside from that, I can't help.

    Heya

I want to get some OPAmps on My Titanium HD Sound Card. I just saw this dual adapter that you can put two OPA627 into a dual channel adapter...I was wondering if this would be better than an OPA637 for the dual slot.

I just got your message ROBSCIX...and I would appreciate the building help, but first I got to settle on the right OPamps....I want warm sound, and good imaging, articulation without becoming boring.

    For Dual Channel

    I have seen OPA2111AM, 49720HA, OPA2134, OPA2107AP, AD8656, AD8066, OPA2228

I was wondering how important the choosing of the buffers were...i see that more emphasis is placed on the I/V or whatever the dual channel slots are for the Titanium HD...Lots of people seem to think the default stock LME49710 Single channel are great for buffers. Any words about this would be appreciated....maybe using the adapter for two single channel OPamps into a dual channel like i said in the first paragraph would be better...any insights about this would help. Danke

Oh I almost forgot...I am attaching this soundcard to an analog RCA cable that will connect to my Onkyo TX-NR809 AV Receiver...I will also attach an SPDIF optical cable from my soundcard to the reciever at the same time; someone advised this to me. So, I will have a music connection and a games/movies connection. The Reciever runs 5 Mirage OMD-5 speakers with a subwoofer that I haven't got yet...it will probably be a 12" Velodyne Subwoofer (the Optimus 12 model). Anyways, I was curious how to match my sound system to a good computer sound card. Thanks for any response!

How much would it cost me if you could make me a custom prelude 7.1 dual opamp that is way better than the stock opamp that comes with the prelude 7.1..

im not sure if single is better than dual or anything not even sure the current opamp thats on the prelude is single or dual or mono or sterio i just want the best.

what price would you be able to do me one for being Christmas ect not looking for anything expensive.

I currently use my prelude with stock opamp and sen 650s currently the sound quality is really great but would i even be able to tell the difference....

It depends on the opamp unit. Send me a PM and we can discuss it.

I am going to be building some new LME49990MA modules for testing.
I will be building them in signal channel units. I can use adapters for dual channel operation also this way they are more flexible for testings.

I noticed that some of had favorable comments re: AD8620 op amp for audio. I am looking at using this IC in the I/V circuit on the Essence ST and H6. Anyone have any comments about this combination.
