i get a bit of stuttering now. i had zero stutter before this patch! now it takes me usually 3 tries to get in a game, first its some can't connect error, then BF3.exe has stopped working, and then i get lost connection with EA message. after those 3 errors i can connect and play no prob. wtf EA ...

IMHO they should pull this patch untill they firgure out wth is going on!

The patch isn't getting pulled, for most people its running great me included who its running very smooth.

people need to run in install fixer and get some fresh drivers installed.

For me the game is working very good, better than before.
At least i don't have anymore the "bf3.exe stop error".

With the system in my sig, things are completely smooth,
i think the fix on the mouse acceleration helped too.
When i do a ingame performance test, using the above console commands, now gpu/cpu are always two flat lines, with no spikes, that i had before the patch.

I'm using the ATI 6990 with the 8.93 drivers (never tested the 11.11a), playing at 1920x1080, with vsync on (60fps) and like i said, no stutter, everything smooth (constant 60fps at ultra quality (2xMSAA and Blur off).
    Ah, i don't know if this helped, but i'm using a "user.cfg"
    with this console commands:

    RenderDevice.ForceRenderAheadLimit 0
    RenderDevice.TrippleBufferingEnable 1
    GameTime.MaxVariableFps 60

    Render.DrawFps 1
    Render.PerfOverlayEnable 1
    Render.PerfOverlayvisible 1

This. I had no problems. Installed the 400meg(ish) patch automatically and performance was increased by a noticeable amount. People with problems should question their install and PC. I bet half of these silly issues are caused by the end user and use of cracks.

think i am in the game is running worse club. tried a bit of sp and seemed a bit worse but mp when previous i was running on ultra with a few hiccups now seems a lot worse..also i think it's brighter. (dunno need to tweak).

maybe its because have been playing a lot of skyrim and it's strange to be back on bf3.

    i'll try repair install..

havent had a serious crash with pc rebooting until i launched bf3 after patch. could be coincidence...(was a nasty looping sound crash...evil).

(have all ultra. 4xmsaa no post aa and no motion blur.

p.s no cracks and no crash in months...(i'll run some ibt to make sure).

nice speculation! personally i have no crack installed, and the game ran perfect before the patch. now, it stutters occasionally. my end? not likely.

it's looking like that for me as well...gonna test metro as that was running very well previous (well it's not as demanding ofc).

gonna wait for a new driver n retry. seems a lot more choppy to me..

but that said maybe it was before :) and i'll have to lower some settings...

I tried that and still the same thing happened and I had to uninstall the game and re-download it to get it fixed.the ea rep had me reboot origin like 4 times then said to call the 800 number and they didn't know how to fix it either, but everything is good to go.

Well patch has caused some weirdness with keyboard assignments. Can only drive backwards no matter what keys are assigned.

I see that there is an OFFLINE mode but Origin is still running. Is there a way around this?

P.S. If you experience stuttering then try turning off 'speed step' in the motherboard bios.

yep that's more or less what am getting. trying on low/medium settings across the board to see if it smooths things out...

am sure was running fine before. hoping it still stutters on low then it means its the game not my lack of gpu muscle :)

That's due to your filter settings and the way the browser selects servers. Currently to be fair Battlelog selects servers randomly so all servers have an equal chance to appear on the list, as such you just got unlucky in the servers it showed you.

The best way to search is always have free slots 1-5 & 6-10 selected, that way the list gets filled with servers with only ones that are nearly full. For example, your settings with only those extra 2 options.

it's playable but am averaging around 45fps and it stutters. before i was around 60 even on large maps. (occasional bad spot say if i was strafed by a plane or heli or next to a tank when it blows...:) )

tested with using high settings as opposed to ultra. same perf...so not sure what's up.

shelved until next driver is out. wierd have never experienced a game running worse after a patch than before...first time it's ever happened to me.

havent tried running with ht off but i'll play skyrim until i have the urge to fiddle some more..

You tried running the origin installer fixer? and the .79 beta's?

sorry if you have already said :)

It's strange how you are getting lower performance than my 570 :(
